  • Sorry for the missing "a". Agree.

  • FreRadical57 is absolutely right! I gree 110%. no more words...

  • thanks for this vid.. i always wonder what if you were to come to a really steep hill? would it climb very well, or are these mainly for more flat areas?

  • @frequencydude If you pedal, it goes up hills. While the bike is heavier than a conventional bike, the combination of rider + luggage + bike is greater only by a few percent. Going down the other side or on the level you have a huge advantage. See videos by youtube user pachauer for rides through the Alps and mountain passes.

  • Great ride. Here in Ontario, Canada where I live, bike lanes are unheard of except in a couple of large cities. I'm really impressed that there is such well developed infrastructure where you live.

  • Thanks for the video David. I live in sunny California, but I'm still a Velomobile fan.

  • Hi David. Thanks for sharing your vid. Love your mango. We don't have snow here in Brisbane - the sun is what we have to compete with. Your Bike trails look great.

    regards,

    Gary & Georgia

  • Yeah, they dont have bike trails like that here in the U.S.

And if they did they probably would not plow them in the snow, cause not enough people would thing to ride a bike in the snowy weather like that.

    Nice commute video!

  • After the blizzard we had just before Christmas there was an article about snow plowing in the newspaper. One of the town managers came right out and was quoted, "the bike paths are not a priority."

  • David, I love the video. Showing the two inserts is great as well, it clarifies some of the practicalities. The Mango is a really nice Velo.

  • @Duncan55Watson It really is a great machine. An enabling technology which makes possible things which wouldn't otherwise seem reasonable. I don't want any more of a hood than this for general riding.

  • I agree. I spoke to a quest owner in my area and he doesn't ride with the hood unless it is 0C or less, or if he is racing. But the hood + velcro insert is great for parking.

I find myself really desiring a Mango Sport now. I just need to find out if the Mango sport can be outfitted with turn signals. And what the middrive ratio is.

  • @Duncan55Watson yes we can fit turn signals. The gear ratios can be anything you want them to be. Get in touch using the ligfietsgaragegroningen email address for more information.

  • That was really very nice David. Here our bike paths for the most part are so badly designed and the divers so poorly trained I find it safer to ride on the road with traffic night or day than use the paths.

Such bicycle facilities as you have there are like heaven to me.

    Many Thanks for the video.

    David

  • I can't tell you how much I envy your velomobile and your cycling route. Does sinner make a velomobile to fit a 201cm person? My X-seam is 127cm. Any info is helpful. Great blog.

  • @totoroben Yes, you're within the size capacity. Mangos can be adjusted to suit anyone from 1.5 m to 2.05 m in height (4'11" to 6'9"), and up to 125 kg.
