I'm curious...I saw an avatar that was "larger" -- did you make that one in game, and if so, did you keep it? While I cringe to hear about low self esteem -- especially from people that could be much worse off --I understand that it happens. We all have our issues, I guess, but at my age (37) I have generally let them all go and love how I look.
This was very interesting, and I think it's obvious you're being honest. That's a nice touch. So, good job on that! And good luck!
@beauturkey thank you so much for your comment. I do still have an overweight avatar, not sure if it is the one you have seen previously or not. But in fact, today I did a performance art piece within Second Life, comparing my avatar with my RL self.
@beauturkey Hmmm I wanted to share a link with you on FB, from the performance.. It won't let me. You can look up Gracie Kendal/Krisartlvr and see them. I am working on a mixed reality performance on August 6th in LA which will involve having a conversation with my avatar. I am so glad you are able to let our issues go and love how you look. I am working on that. I have had many years of criticism and judgment which brought me to an eating disorder. I wish it were as easy as letting it all go :)
I just showed your video to my class. It's just great! Your avatar is interesting and intriguing without getting because we the viewers get to know you also. My reflection at the end of the video was that you are just a beautiful, creative person and you have come up with an ingenious way to express yourself. Many kudos!
OMG! we could be sisters in RL! U are adorable. and just like me, in RL, u have a friendly face, warm smile, soft, cuddly body, and an AMAZINGly regal nose! if we were flowers, we would be sunflowers.
What a chunky plumper

Interesting, but mostly because I cannot relate at all.
I've never been very interested in my appearance in RL or SL.
My avatar is as much like RL me as I could make her and rarely change outfits.
Perhaps my vanity gene has broken down ;)
I think you're great and would probably feel I'd like to get to know you in SL a lot sooner if your avatar looked more like you do in RL.
Everybody in SL is sooo 'pretty', I find it boring, all those people who look like barbie or ken.
