I like Vampirism at first but i couldnt get a good schedule so i am only out at night so i cured myself and became a werewolf not just because you can transform but also because of the 100% disease resitence because i found it annoying to fight skeevers

A con of the Werewolf is also that when transforming, enemies can still attack you when you can't do anything.

bethesda should made more tweaks to the beast form. such as benfits for in human form. like: increased stamina, nightvision, and boost in unarmed dammage. they should have also made differnt werewolf colors depending on ur hair color, if u got white hair ud be a white wolf, brown, bronw wolf etc. things like this would have made the beast 2000 times cooler. but still they did a good job. and vampires hav no benifits at all.

My character is WAY more badass while in normal form. Only good thing about Werewolf form is how fast you can travel, and the 100% Resist Disease. Other than that, its a purely cosmetic thing

werewolf transformation is way better than vampire because turning into a werewolf only affects your bedrest bonus. vampire disease affects everything

1. how does werewolf scaling work? do warriors make better werewolves?

2. is there a limit on how many corpses you can eat in order to extend the duration of the ability? (can you eat 100 corpses and stack it up to 50 minutes?)

@SomeoneWhoCanType no limit on corpses, best to use an alternation character, you can use mage armor to buff your werewolf defense for the first 1:30 minutes or so before you transform into a werewolf

@Linknot100 thanks. one more question if you dont mind, since i just got my new pc and will have it running in a few days, so i dont know much about skyrim yet: does a full mage have absolutely all schools of magic, as opposed to a battlemage who drops something out in favor or heavy armor? at least was so in oblivion

@SomeoneWhoCanType did not play oblivion but i can tell you i started as a 1 handed warrior and ended up training all things (almost done, lvl 77) you need to see for yourself what you find importent to perk, for instance i have more perks in armor and 1 hand, but i still use destruction magic with 0 cost (i enchanted my armor for 100 % less destruction cost), so i don't need to put perks in my destruction tree for magica cast reduction

Besides the beast form skill, is there another way of transforming? Like, can the player suddenly transform?

@VantasFilms Well, there is an alternate way to transform, aside from the "Beast form" Power. Head to Falkreath and start the "Ill met by moonlight" quest, you can start this by speaking to Sinding, the imprisoned werewolf in the prison, barracks building. Complete the quest by opting to save Sinding instead of wiping him out for Hircine, and you receive the Ring of Hircine daedric artefact, This ring gives you infinite transformations as long as you have it equipped. Enjoy =)

@ICEGHOST22 Yes, you turn into a werewolf and back again. You can turn into a werewolf once a day, but only last for about 10 minutes. Eating a dead person will reset the timer. If you want to stay in beast form, just keep eating, killing, and eating.

Eating dead people also heals you a bit.

Also, in beast form the POWER/SHOUT button also lets you roar, which makes people run away in fear.

It might be worth it to mention that the little cinematic thing while your feeding can be skipped by using that howl ability, thus allowing you to heal mid killing spree.

I personally have seemed to have leveled my Werewolf very effectively, it does alot of damage and now has a fair amount of durability, sure I'll run around in legendary Daedra armor with daedra weapons, but there calls a time the Werewolf is just so much more fitting, and really sometimes the Wolf seems to do more damage, perhaps it's just me. Either way if people are seeing that the Wolf because weaker, maybe Bethesda should patch them to be much more powerful hmm?

when feeding, use the roar cancel. wait until you see your health go up and then roar. this will cancel the rest of the animation but still give you the benefits, and if you're surrounded it will scare everyone off allowing you to kill again. hope this helps somebody.

No kidding, i play on expert and there is really no point being a werewolf and i just die constantley. Its useless. But every time i level up i dont increase my health i only increase stamina and magic.... so maybe werewolf is weak if your character dosn't have a high health rating?

Also, Werewolf's claw attacks benefit from the One-Handed weapon skill, making them ideal for 1H warriors, assassins or spellswords, but makes them a liablity for pretty much anyone else.

@sarge369 Yeah, that's one of the drawbacks of going into werewolf form, you can't manually switch it off.  I think you can just use the in-game wait option though, an hour or two should be enough for it to wear off. Another thing Yong didn't mention is that when werewolf wears off you won't have any armor or weapons equipped. Not a huge deal seeing as you can just pause and equip your normal items, but you may take a few hard hits if it wears off in combat.

Yong, you're in a way wrong, when you say that there's not bounty when you're in the werewolf-form... The truth is, that in order to make it like this, you can only transform into a werewolf (or back to the human-form) when no-one's watching you.... Unless, the bounty counts as normal...

Hate to be a thumbs-up-whore, but thumbs up so people (and pherhaps yong) won't get bounties of thousands of gold they could've avoided...

In fact, in the Elder Scrolls universe, Lycanthropy is just the ability to change into some type of animal, instead of just a wolf.
