I noticed you've got laughing beauties face and the raging beauties face. How did you get the Laughing one's face cus i've got the screaming one instead?
This was the single most immense gaming experience I have ever had. Revisiting Shadow Moses. MGS1 is my favourite ever game, going back to it was incredible.
This is my favorite Act. I can't believe how exact this level was, it looked exactly the same as the first one. The Act 3 motorcycle chase was my second favorite, the graphics were insane.
they should make a remake of mgs 2, with those graphics and with playing as snake instead of raiden on the big shell. That would be a fucking masterpiece.
Thing about diffuculties though, It seems weird if you go down a diffucluty level, because When I played Boss extreme, After the first part it was kind of easy.. EXCEPT FOR THIRD PART.. that was insane, I hated third part, following the resistance was boring... and hard.. XD But whatever the case, All the other diffuculties were easy... then the actual easy level.. just OMG.. you have to be really weak to ever die in that part... lol

twin snakes is the gamecube remake of the original metal gear solid on ps1. the graphics are a lot better, so that makes sense as long as its the same plot and everything.

You can obviously get a japanese version from anywhere in japan, I'd reccomend tokyo, Its the same as every other version, only the main language of the game is in japanese lol
Nah the game isnt that hard. Like, its harder then the 2nd but easier then the first. it depends, if its your first time plaing through its gonna be prtetty friggen tough, if its gonna be your 2nd time, your gonna have ALL the guns and crap you had from your last file, and it will be 1000X times easier.
The story beats it, and it's longer. The combat is really fun. Honestly you wont play it over and over again like CoD4 online because Metal Gear Online is terrible. I don't think I would buy this game if you haven't played the others.
(continued) I would definitely buy the others (at least the ones for playstation consoles, the NES ones don't really matter) first and play them, they are all very, very good (especially 1 and 2) because the story is hard to grasp when you're jumping into the 4th (or 6th...) installment of a series that is known for having a good storyline. But it is worth the money.
to be honest i think the xbox would probly break down cuz of mgs graphics theyr 2 hd, and the hide kojima said himself the grapichs was made to fit in with sony (creator of the ps3) so they have 2 downgrade (not hapenin) to xbox,

Who the heck cares which one is better or not.Microsoft did a pretty good job with the xbox 360 when it came out earlier than the other ones while the PS3 is like the xbox 360 but with more features but the Ps3 is currently behind its competitors because of the high price.Heck i even don't have a ps3 or wii but i have 360.
just received some reply in my e-mail from a 360 fanboy. i got nothing against 360, i want to get one .. but for 300 US dollars and to pay online? sure the xbox live is nice, but it doesn't have the current edge that the ps3 gives.
and as for MGS IV, the god damn game is a masterpiece and to the fact that it pushed the ps3 to the edge. WE ALL KNOW that CELL > Xenon, period. Okay? Get over this fact. Play the game and you'll understand the difference. It'll never appear on the 360.

do NOT play mgs4 untill you have played 1, 2 and 3
mgs 4 was truly written for long time fans, but what you could do is,,, get the 40gb ps3 and get mgs 1 2 and 3 for the pc, its gonna take a long time to get through all of them but its well worth it, its a very complex story and mgs4 caps it all off. im not saying its not a good game by itself but when you have played the others its greatness increases 500%

MGS4 will never be on the 360 you guys. MGS4 uses ALL 6 SPE's on the PS3 if none of you knew that. Do you all realize that what they've done, the data in terms of characters, enviorment, sound, lightning and everything else in the game is complex and in-whole objects, not object over object or just outside frames? 360 can't handle that shit and its Xenon processor is not as good as the PS3's what-so-ever. O_o;;
Quit pretending you know about technical specs. The margin between the Xbox 360's CPU and the Playstation 3's is not as wide as so many would have you believe.
kojima said it him self if you read interviews. The ps3 processing more is more than the 360 and if he were to make it for the 360 he would have to reduce the quality of the graphics, etc because of the hd dvd format.
its not so much cpu power than it is format thats effecting that fact that mgs4 will never come out for the 360. mgs4 runs on a 50 gb blue ray disc and the games uses the whole damn 50 gb of it. The most a 360 dvd can hold is 9 gb, that would mean it'd take at least 6 360 dvds to run mgs or more to compensate. Even then the game takes a hefty amount hdd space to install each chapter so thatll kill the average hdd space for average 360 owners. Overall it'll cost more money, more disc, bigger HDD.
yes compression can prolly solve the problem, but thats not what kojima wanted, he wanted to bring some of the rawest sound and graphic quality out there to the game, compressing would ruin his whole idea. its not that the 360 couldnt run the game if they compromise some features in the game but its the fact that it couldnt run the game the way kojima wanted it to run (high quality graphics/almost RAW sound fx).
but yea this game is a masterpiece and i love this game..games like this aint for the 360 owners haha they have crappy halo which is the same damn thing

yes and what i mean is to decrease their stamina bar ( the thin gauge under the life gauge ) u can do that with tranqulaizer gun and all non harmful guns are coulerd BLUE insted of RED

metal gear solid isnt about JUST gameplay, its the mix between a plot of witch a movie would be, and a game with better graphics each time. actually in the first couple metal gears, following up to this one, charecters resembled real people, at first for a joke but now as a extra that makes the game better.

Sony's sales records are only high because of the fact that they play dirty when it comes to making hardware. The PS1 rode off on all the mistakes earlier CD consoles made yet had very few amazing, genre defining games other than a mess of rpgs.
The PS2 used it's DVD drive to slither into the limelight and it's because of that, everybody bought one. And because everybody bought one, that's what gained them all the third party support.

let me ask you this, when they said snake will become the ultimate weapon...what do they mean. when naomi tells him his cells are mutating. what his she referring to? will he snap and start killing ppl? i mean if hes on his way to dying, how dangerous could he be when hell be closer to death. somebody give me their opinion on this
With the mutated virus, anyone he comes in contact with will contract the Foxdie virus and die after short while. Imagine he's in a big crowd - everyone shall be passing it on to each other and eventually it will spread uncontrollably. It's programmed to kill Snake at any random time so he wouldn't die immediately. He would just keep passing it on to others. The fact there is no cure makes it worse altogether.
That would have happened in 3 months time and Snake has about 1 year to live.

Actually they are Remastering MGS2, MGS3, and Peace Walker, for PS3 and Xbox. Not MGS1. It's confirmed. Trust me.
However we reckon MGS1 MAY be remastered for the anniversary next year.

MGS4 will never be on the 360 you guys. MGS4 uses ALL 6 SPE's on the PS3 if none of you knew that. Do you all realize that what they've done, the data in terms of characters, enviorment, sound, lightning and everything else in the game is complex and in-whole objects, not object over object or just outside frames? 360 can't handle that shit and its Xenon processor is not as good as the PS3's what-so-ever. O_o;;

kojima said it him self if you read interviews. The ps3 processing more is more than the 360 and if he were to make it for the 360 he would have to reduce the quality of the graphics, etc because of the hd dvd format.

Xbox 360 games don't use HD DVD. They use 9 gigabyte DVD-9.

its not so much cpu power than it is format thats effecting that fact that mgs4 will never come out for the 360. mgs4 runs on a 50 gb blue ray disc and the games uses the whole damn 50 gb of it. The most a 360 dvd can hold is 9 gb, that would mean it'd take at least 6 360 dvds to run mgs or more to compensate. Even then the game takes a hefty amount hdd space to install each chapter so thatll kill the average hdd space for average 360 owners. Overall it'll cost more money, more disc, bigger HDD.

yes compression can prolly solve the problem, but thats not what kojima wanted, he wanted to bring some of the rawest sound and graphic quality out there to the game, compressing would ruin his whole idea. its not that the 360 couldnt run the game if they compromise some features in the game but its the fact that it couldnt run the game the way kojima wanted it to run (high quality graphics/almost RAW sound fx).

on the gamecube they made the Twin Snakes and the ps2 they made Mgs2 and Mgs3 and then they remade Mgs2 and called it Mgs2 substance and put it on the Ps2 and Xbox.

metal gear solid isnt about JUST gameplay, its the mix between a plot of witch a movie would be, and a game with better graphics each time. actually in the first couple metal gears, following up to this one, charecters resembled real people, at first for a joke but now as a extra that makes the game better.

Sony's sales records are only high because of the fact that they play dirty when it comes to making hardware. The PS1 rode off on all the mistakes earlier CD consoles made yet had very few amazing, genre defining games other than a mess of rpgs.
The PS2 used it's DVD drive to slither into the limelight and it's because of that, everybody bought one. And because everybody bought one, that's what gained them all the third party support.

same things gonna happen with blu-ray now that it won the "format war".more and more people are buying hdtv's and if they want to buy new hd movies for it they gotta get blu-ray or settle with regular dvd.new cenimatic movies like indiana jones or hellboy 2 cant fit on an hd-dvd.games like mgs4,warhawk,and resistance 2 cant come close to fitting on 1 hd-dvd.not even 5.microsoft's e3 was so boring.you have nothin to look forward to except gears 2.go look at the resistance 2 e3 footage

ATTN: snake suffers from advanced aging programmed into his DNA. he has six months to live. The old foxdye goes wacky, could kill everyone, but the new foxdye he recieved makes the former dormant. Big boss is still alive. Drebin works for the Patriots. Raiden has a family with rose. Johnny and Meryl get hitched. Snake meets his mom, Eva. Phsyco Mantis makes an apearence. With the mutated virus, anyone he comes in contact with will contract the Foxdie virus and die after short while. Imagine he's in a big crowd - everyone shall be passing it on to each other and eventually it will spread uncontrollably. It's programmed to kill Snake at any random time so he wouldn't die immediately. He would just keep passing it on to others. The fact there is no cure makes it worse altogether.
That would have happened in 3 months time and Snake has about 1 year to live.

hey water, but i got a question to ask. i understand the patriot system is a computer, but since all the members are dead, whos contorlling it? the only alive memebers are zero and big boss right? zero isnt even conherent, so why is he a threat? lastly ive heard ppl say ocelot is really a good guy because he was just pretending to be solidus, i get that part. but that doesnt make him good does it? i thought they ony wanted one part of the partiot system shut down, so he could control the others
