  • lol. love it

  • i'm a teenager. i've lived most of my life involved with technology and the shit of today. well, no more! i've dedicated the rest of my life to liking good comedy and music, because it's not fun being part of the "cool" people. it's a misnomer, really. the 'old' stuff is much better. and who cares if it's old? classics are timeless. i like the pythons, i like the beatles...i like loads of 'old' things.

but i'm not a special snowflake or anything. that's just my tastes.

  • i seek pole shift survival group

  • Quintessential british humour! And hurrah for the "plucky little springbok" lol :-)

  • i'm just a fetus and i like old things too...old things like the beatles and doors and monty python...you could say i'm an old things snob 'cause i know so much about these old things that no one else has even heard about yet....did i mention that i'm still a fetus?

  • @billyhay

Oh yeah? I'm just a Zygote, and I love super old things, like classical music, and old time Pentium machines, and steam engines.

  • @billyhay Oh my aching sides...

  • Housewifes gone wild

  • Is anyone a little bit sick of teenagers saying "I'm fifteen and I watch Monty Python!" It seems like such a sad way to receive attention.

  • @JakeJohnRogers No its people saying its annoying to hear that younger people like the same things as older people that annoys me : ) but I suppose its a happy way to receive attention

  • @gimmealiteracola Actually the people I was referring to are far more copious and common around these sorts of videos.

  • @JakeJohnRogers Well yes and no. I just think kids get sick of people thinking that the are all the same. Kids get so much stick with everything they do. Not all of them are the same. Thats why i think they say it :)

  • @missHelenaLestrange Yea they might say it to seem different but it is often said in an elitist way like "All my friends are stupid because they don't like old comedy like I do!" Just because something is old doesn't make it good.

  • @JakeJohnRogers Yes i agree with you there. :D

  • Cop: I wish to complain about the silliness of this sketch, I think it is too silly and doesnt make any sense

Other Person: My word, hes a genuine cop!

  • Eric Idles so coy :o)

  • For some reason, I absolutely lost it when it showed John Cleese sitting at his desk with the waves lapping up on it :P

  • hmm??

  • Science for the win!....lol.

  • soo this how Heart Transplant were in the begining

  • Comment removed

  • They make it look so easy. A FINE performance.

  • @Bayview05 yeah, because us british were lost before you yanks gave us "everybody loves raymond".

  • @rach1660 any american would disown that show. try seinfeld.

  • Comment removed

  • @rach1660 I think you mean Buster Keaton or Marx Brothers.

  • @donnyforte2 Britain counters your Buster Keaton and Marx Brothers with a Charlie Chaplin :P

Still, love the Marx Brothers. Groucho can put me into hysterics just walking into a room :)

  • @rach1660 nice.

  • Educational!

  • 21 people got mugged by a bunch of purse swinging old women......

  • sorry, you mixed up your videos...this is not the first heart transplant.

  • I love how when the guild run at each other, you can only hear Cleese going, 'aaaah!' One of my favourite ever Python moments

  • Now that's how you transplant a heart!

  • Usually I like Monty Python but this... I don't get it. Is it just that these women are finding any excuse to fight?

  • @FergieVLogs It's Monty Python, if you don't get it you're thinking too hard. It's just silliness.

  • @Nerfi Don't worry I'm laughing at this again now. I suppose I was just having one of those days when my brain starts working again.

  • This six

  • Why the hell is Cleese sitting in some kind of a wet situation? roflmao

  • @JNeverMindMe That was a rare moment of realism for Python. That sketch was actually recorded in the studio during the Great BBC Television Centre Flash-Flood of 1973, thought to be caused by a swimming pool leak during the filming of the pilot episode of We Are The Champions.

John Cleese was giving that announcement just as the floodwaters had subsided, thanks to a hasty barrier of gravel and sand erected by a quick-thinking Ron Pickering.

  • This is so retarded it's incredibly funny

  • I'm still just a fetus and I love monty python.

My twin brother thinks their too "old" and he likes the Jonas Brothers, so stupid.

    I think I'll eat him.

  • @gilli39 so your brother's one of those people. I mean seriously how in god's name could you like the Jonas Brother's but not like Monty Python. I love monty python, it's probably the funniest TV show of all time.

  • @gilli39 Absorb that bitch!

  • Im 12 and what is this?

  • @CustomWP This is life. ;D

  • @CustomWP this is real comedy...

    this is british comedy.

  • I'm 2 and I think Monty Python is the greatest!

  • @nodachislayer you meant to say 12, right? if you're 2, you are much too young to watch this!!

  • Can anyone explain to me this sketch? Don't seem to get it.

  • @kassarin The idea is that the women would put on a play about an historical event (the first heart transplant operation) but instead of acting seriously, they hit each other with their handbags and roll around in the surf.

It doesn't really make sense, it's just silly ^^

  • @kassarin watch the sketch of the Battle of Pearl Harbour (watch?v=vMqSmiC_xHg), then watch this one again. ;)

  • Haha, Batley Is where I live, nowhere near any beaches though.

  • @CrazedRabidDog I think this is Paington.

  • 13-- I love Monty Python

  • ha ha, john cleese at the desk in the water at the end was priceless.

  • @lou4brew you should try this instead /watch?v=gMhDdkUxMdo

  • @ritualentertainment I knew what it would be, but still had to check.

  • For real!

  • @ruikmaxdo ITs funny that you say that monty python is crap when you have some of their stuff on ur favorites

  • @ruikmaxdo ur 5 and u fine this crap...are you mentally sound?

  • @ruikmaxdo

You type pretty darn well for a five year old. *rolls eyes*

  • Hey, I'm 11 and I love this stuff, suckit whoever thinks monty python is bad!

  • @Hunfam kudos! 12 here

  • Im 15, and this stuff is funnier than some of the comedy today. Monty python is brilliant.

  • @timmydarkotbh im 13 and this (monty python) is better than most of the crap on tv today!!!!!! im a beatles fan as well, and i liked the rutles spoof thing X3

  • Im 15 and loving it!!!

  • Gee they do some work on their names for things............."The batley townwomens guild"..........it gives the whole thing extra credability for something that is really very silly.

  • u arnt the ony kid im only 12 an i hav known of him since i was 7

  • He's sitting in the water...

  • Well spotted.

  • they sure do love to dress up as women

  • How can anyone NOT FIND THIS FUNNY??!!

  • well you arent, im 13 and i like old things like monty python and the beatles and the doors

  • 13 ftw!!

  • @scarface12347 Im am the exact same, except I like the rolling stones more than the doors.

  • @famazzywazzy i like the rolling stones as well

  • @scarface12347 Thats awesome, how about The Who? They are one of my favorites.

  • @scarface12347 im 12 and i like all that too

  • stupid yes, embarrassing never

  • musta been fun doing that =D

  • So that's how to perform a heart transplant! And here's me thinking you had to go into hospital!

  • ok that was funny, but I'm beginning to think that the Monty Python cast is enjoying wearing dresses just a little too much. Secret drag queens perhaps. I'm one of the few women I know who think Python is hilarious. For some reason most women just don't get it.

  • Secret drag queens, lol

    Mostly Terry J.!

I think, you're probably meeting the wrong women... Try to check on Pythonline to see they do

  • It's funny cause every other scene, at least one of the Python men are in drag.

  • It's the good old Shakespearean actor's tradition of having young men play the women.

British actor's have been doing this since time imemorial. Check out "A little bit of Fry and Laurie" - there they also dress up for similar reasons and it's just hilarious (slightly different kind of humour though)

  • It's partially out of necessity, since the entire group is men (with the exception of the occasional appearance of Connie Booth), and partially because it's hilarious seeing their sorry ass attempts to look like women.

  • What makes you think that therecordholder? Are you serious or just a troll?

  • He is serious, as I can concur what he said.

  • Its and its a bad thing "Monty Python Awareness Program!"

  • Don't give thecordholder thumbs down for this. He is right. You guys see yourselves, or me, and think OH WELL BUT WE KNOW THEM, but then ask some kids on the street about it, and while they mug you, they tell you that they never heard of Monty Python.

  • lol sometimesi feel like im the only kid that knows about monty python o.o *is 14 and is intrested in old things* XD

  • Kid, I was raised on Monty Python, The Vicar of Dibley, Coupling, Keeping up Appearances, Hugh Laurie *before he was House*, the lot of them. I am now twenty and still loving it to this day.

    You're not alone. ^_^

  • hahahaa but i'm 13 and i love it!

  • they just pull it off so well XD

  • When this was going on no woman was wanting to do that!

  • How quaint and unique!

  • Nah, don't psychoanalyze, they do drag cuz it's funny as hell!!!!!!!

  • You are an idiot.

  • Eric?

I guess you mean John Cleese....

"...and now for something completely different..."

  • i jut love to see eric sitting in the water and talking like it was nothing :DD

  • lol moshpit

  • I never knew so many great historic events consisted of purse swinging brawls!

  • it's true old lady cat-fights are one of history's many great achivemts

  • You see it coming, but it's still funny when it happens. :-)

  • The joke is that the "reenactment of the Battle of Pearl Harbor" was nothing but women hitting each other with purses. Then when Eric says they're going to do something "different" (the first heart transplant), they do the exact same thing.

  • (to hosreh)........Theyre taking the piss out of modern art.............both re-enactments were exactly the same.........and completely abstract. Yet some gullible art snobs pay millions for stuff like this.

  • HONK! Eric is the best!

  • i <3 eric idle!

  • 'Honk' if you love Eric!

  • God I love Eric!

  • wow, gotta love history reenactments :D

  • DARE ME ILL DO IT!

  • Do what?

  • I had a feeling that the First Heart Transplant reenactment would be women beating each other with purses in the surf.

  • Wow, I learnd some much about the First Heart Transplant XD

  • Oh I would just love getting paid for sitting with my desk in the sea^^ haha their ideas are often so absurd but bloody funny all the way!

  • HAHAHAHHA!

  • You sir, are writing meaningless nonsense.

  • ???...

  • If you could at least write proper English (or at least complete, comprehensible sentences), perhaps than we could understand the thoughts you are trying to convey...otherwise, yes what you are writing is meaningless nonsense.

  • :-X

  • Personally I thought it was executed poorly.

More like Alexander Fleming's discovery of Penicillin. ;)

  • I find it really strange thay loads of American comedy works over here like Friends, The Simpson and Frasir. But not alot of our comedy works over in the states. Python is one of ther few that works almost every where.

  • Have you noticed that "the first heart transplant" is very similar to the "rendition of Pearl Harbor"? :D

  • Bite your tongue sir.

  • i swear america needs humor like this.like all british humor.even the filthyy humor is classy.i love this.suprisingly similkar to pearl harbor.coincidence. huray for the batley womens guild

  • python is the greatest!

  • Catfight!

  • Can't beat british humour.

  • @joshuababb001: Can't beat wood!

  • @joshuababb001 or humor, if you're a lazy american ;)

  • @StaraziaSelin66 I promise, we are no longer lazy Americans. We have to have 2-3 jobs now just to feed the children. And the mere fact that you can lump all people from one country into a catagory only shows you to be a fool.

  • @tenofivelips Chill out...they were obviously referring to the fact that we leave out the 'u' in 'humour' :|

  • @BonbonBobos I hear you.

  • Three cheers for the Battley Womens' Guild!!!

  • the first heart tranplant was the same as pearl harbord

  • that's the point, all these women can do is beat eachother up with handbags. The fact that they can't get them to do anything else is what's so funny about it.

  • good god, that is probably just like it happened, lol

    GO Monty Python!!! ^_^

  • Mad as hatters! Wouldn't want that lot operating on me!

  • LMAO this rocks

  • GOD they were so damned funny!!!!

  • ah good old python humor at its best.

  • LOOOOOOOOOVE ITü! it's soo funny ^^

  • My english leaves me speechless here, so let me say it in german:

    Hinreißend!
