i have a quistion, when they where in the museum, percy read that perseus (son of zeus) cut medusa's head, but later in the movie we see that medusa is still alive.

how? is she was already been killed by perseus how see can be still alive?

Doesn't anyone get the word BASED this movie is BASED off of the book meaning same characters and same MAIN plot. You guys are lucky that they kept the pearls in and the Lotus Hotel and Medusa they could have easily replaced them with other buildings and mythical beasts and if you really do like Percy Jackson then shut the hades up and enjoy the movie all your doing is ruining Rick.

the book was written for 6th graders. if they stayed true to it. fans would be complaining for a whole new set of reasons. i thought the movie was funnier and had much better action scenes. the trade of percy vs. ares for percy vs. luke was a great idea.
