  • to kaziklubbe : The movie you saw was made by Fatih Akin, a turkish realisator who's beginning to be very famous! If you enjoyed him, you should try Soul Kitchen, or Solino ... Your friends must be crazy, because for a musician, to listen to another kind of music is a sign of an open mind and enriches your own !

  • It's not based on a storyline.. It's more about feelings and memories. So the translation will sound weird...

I told the whole world that i love you

you frowned, did i kill your father?

go down to the brook and pick up some stones

our love has ended, take your hair from my pocket

girl, i'll spread the rug in front of your house

it's been long since i last saw my darling

the summer came, the spring came, green leaves grew

i couldn't live you to the full, let the black earth enjoy to its fill

    It's beautiful =)

  • @littlefloraa

It is really hard to translate such kind of songs :(

  • Ah... because it's too poetic ? Or maybe there's no English word that really matches the Turkish ones...

Still, can you try ? :$

Or just give an idea, is it a story, what's the main theme...

    I'm curious ! ^^ But if it's too difficult well it's ok. I'll imagine by myself ^^

  • @littlefloraa I love you and I let the world know, this is the first line... the other parts are kind of hard to translate since they are almost all idioms.. and it tells a story between two lovers..:)

  • @MegaIbos Ok ! thank you very much I'll do with that =)

  • @littlefloraa actually there's no English word that really matches Turkish ones... Yes...Neither many of Turks can't understand how deep those words are, but i'll try simpliest...

    I tell to all world

    that i love you,

but u knit your brows (look at me with anger)

like i kill your father (his beloved not answer his love call)

    let's go to the river

and take rocks from the river

    i can't love anyone anymore

take your hairs from my pocket

  • @littlefloraa

girl, im gonna lay a rug

    in front of your home

too many years have passed i didn't see my beloved

(thats means im gonna live in front of your home just for maybe i can see you)

summer has come, spring has come

    leafs come into greens

    i dont saturated with you

may the earth saturated with you (thats means u maybe dead, rest in peace and we know from this, his beloved died)

but u gotta know, those words cant matches with actual turkish words... this song so deep, sad and epic...

  • Is there a translation of these lyrics ? I am very impressed by the music, and I'd like to understand what the singer says...

    It's beautiful =)

  • ufffff. süper parca

  • SO beautiful

  • I live in Las Vegas US so there isn't a lot of middle eastern music going around. So if you kow people you're ok. I actually found this song on a german/turkish movie called the edge of heaven. Thankfully it had subtitles for the turkish spoken scenes and I wrote down the name . All my friends here think I'm crazy because I'm in a Death Metal band but I do enjoy turkish, greec and bulgarian music. It sucks that I can only find good music by watching indendent movies. Thanks for putting this on

  • @kaziklubei666

hahah i found it through the same movie and loved it from the first time i heard it :D

  • @kaziklubei666 Fatih Akin, who is the director of that movie is a Turkish guy who has grown up in Germany. If you enjoyed the music he used, i should definitely suggest you to watch "crossing the bridge" movie. It's also directed by Fatih Akin but this time it is only about music. Sounds and musics about Istanbul.. Hope you enjoy

Here is the trailer for you :) watch?v=t4c6f3Sro_4

  • @kahvevotka Thanks a lot I'll get right on that

  • @kaziklubei666 first, you should know that you can't find many middle eastern musics in Turkey.you should check some Arabian singer if you wanna find what you're looking for.Or just stay on this line if you liked our songs.Respect and Peace! ...

  • @kaziklubei666 Hey! If you don't want to be limited to films to listen to these beautiful pieces of Turkish music, answer me.

  • @kaziklubei666 Well,I usually listen to all kinds of metal or industrial music, but I just found some Kazim's songs on here and I just love them! I think listening various kinds of music is good, it kinda opens up your mind :)

  • @kaziklubei666 not middleeastern actually Turkish music. the soft vocal music instruments are more dominant in Turkish music. in middleeastern music drum and clarion are in the leading role in music while in this soft music instruments like saz and saz like instruments are in leading role. Turkish music are low in speed near middleeastern music. if you liked this I can advice you on youtube other more songs - asiye, karasevda özlem tekin, fırtına selanik, Ah Bir Atas Ver Burcu Güneş

  • @kaziklubei666 more examples from Turkish music- "haluk levent bülbül", "haluk levent kağızman", "candan erçetin kaybettik biz", "candan erçetin yüksek yüksek tepeler", "haluk levent edirne türküsü", "haluk levent zeytinden aşımsın", "tugba ozerk lo lo lo", "grup destan atabarı", "grup destan cilveloy", "kıraç şarköy türküsü", "berna ateş böceği".

  • @kaziklubei666 Hey! Trust me you're Not Alone!!! I'm American-born, but cherich my Eastern-European roots and traditions, (which has nothing to do with what I am meaning, to say, lol-sorry- Random Moment! ;) I live in Phoenix, so we're pretty much in the same situation... • @kaziklubei666 Cont'd:...Traditional Arabic, Persian, Turkish, and even some Kurdish, Armenian, Azeri and everything in between, that is Middle-Eastern, but, I'm sure like you, Not all of it appeals to me- some of the singers, just like any singer -- suck! others are phenomonal! I prefer the Fast paced style music, that One, can really 'feel' as it plays, the fast, almost chaotic, beats, the change in rhythms - and the singers varied voice! Keep in touch, let me know any websites that..cont'd,,

  • @kaziklubei666 sorry --- long response to your great post! --I think Americans haven't taken the TIME, or they HAVE a Definite 'STIGMA' attached to the Wonderful music of the Ancient lands, the beginning of civilization, where Music, basically started...(It's sad to say this, but - I can imagine - and HAVE EVEN Heard some stupid ignorants say crap like: 'Turn that Raghead Music off, whereas I just play it louder -- They are so uncultured and uneducated, its sad, i Truly feel sad for them, any-

  • @kaziklubei666 This song is actually from the north-eastern part of Turkey.. People from that region are called "Laz" and they have their own language called "Lazca".. This song is in Turkish, but with different dialect. They have songs in their language too. We, as Turkish people, have a rich tradition of music because there are lots of ethnic groups in Turkey and every single of them produces music both in their own language and in Turkish. If you like, I help you find the best Turkish music..

  • @Influence61

nice said, but in this song they aren't singing in Lazca but a in a dialect, I'm also from Trabzon and i know how lazca is.we use different words, but this is just Turkish with a blacksea dialect.
