I knew about Vocaloid before Shugo Chara, so I'd say that Ikuto looks like Kaito, but my friend was new to anime and Shugo Chara was the first one she watched. So when she learnt about Vocaloid, she said that Kaito looks like Ikuto, and still says it like that.
