This song is perfect. It both strongly and sweetly laments the end of the pain and devastation that Ciel has endured. It's with closure, and the tiniest hint of regret that he can finally, truthfully say "it's done". It's a melancholy peace punctuated his butler's assurance that his life was, in fact, very meaningful. Bravo, Sebastian and Ciel. You've put on a memorable performance that will always stay with us, and this final song will forever bring back a ghost of the emotions we felt.

The first few notes sound very similar to Mahler's Adagietto from Symphony No. 5 (if anyone knows classical music) , which makes this piece even more amazing, considering the Adagietto is one of my absolute favorite pieces to listen to *-*

@BellaxXxEdward201994 The only thing I don't like about the english dubbed version is that Sebastian can't say "Yes, my Lord" like he does in japanese because "Lord" is pernounced like "Lordo." Other than that, I love the dubbed. (My fangirl instincts come out when hearing Sebastian's accent XD.)

this song sounds like a song that would come off of nabari no ou's soundtrack. that anime has a really good instrumental stuff to listen to as well. HIGHLY recommend nabari <3 kuroshitsuji too, if you're someone who just randomly clicked on this and know nothing about it.

@yinsama123 the two animes don't have much in common in plot, really, but the protecting thing is true (and cute) ^__^ but search up: >Nabari no Ou OST2 - 20 - Two People< and compare the first few seconds of that song with this one. they both sound distinctly alike, except then this one gets more wistful(?)/mournful(?) and two people gets a bit more dramatic and desperate. but, in a way, it's like one song is a version of another...well, not really, but whatever. both animes=good soundtracks!

I've listened to a lot of movie, TV, and amine soundtracks, and I've never found a song more scene-fitting than this. It captures all of the defeat, melancholy, nostalgia, and strange comfort that Ciel feels. It never fails to move me. Well done Mr. Iwasaki.
