i have a kenyan sand boa, and his tail is very dull, but his scales are very bright, could anything be wrong?

it also seems like his tail is stiffer than his body.

well if its small and showing signs of agression isnt so bad but if its agressive and full grown i suggest watch out.but eather way just if its striking at you at a youg age you should try handiling her till she calms down and by the time shes an adult she will be so use to you handiling her that she probably not strike.

im looking to see what i want for my 1rst snake. i dont want a corn snake, i like boas and pythons.... any way. im thinking... Ball Python, Rosy Boa. and Sand boa. what do u think is best, i like to handle snakes for a long time, easy to take care of. and not real expensive. what do u think i should get

Ball Pythons and Rosy Boas would be a good choice as far as wanting to handle them for a long time. If I had to choose between them I would go with the Ball Python.

Ball Pythons seem more content staying in one place while holding them. Rosy's loving being held too, but move around much more. Either way you will not be disappointed.

I caught a Black racer under my home last summer ..man that snake was aggressive it did not want me touching it. is this normal for black racers?

I'm not really familiar with them. I've never seen one in person or inquired about them. But being in the wild, most likely it probably would be snippy twords humans.

snippy this snake was mad as hell. it bit me 4 times all over my hand. they are a grayish black with a vanilla belly and from what I seen very aggressive.

At max they will grow to about 4 feet, but usually about 3 feet. 6 Months old in the vid.

The mother is a California Coastal, the father is a Anza Borrego.

You don't need to keep that much water in there all the time. The humidity won't be good for the Rosy. Try just putting it in 1 or 2 times a week.

Yup. I actually had the water dish outside of the tank prior to the video. Also she is in a pretty dry room which helps as well.

Ah nice, I took a break from herping for a year and I have been reading a lot about Rosy's and I'm going to buy a pair of 100% het for snow, albino Rosy's. Gonna see how that breeding project goes for me. =D
