Why is it that any anime that Key/someone from Key has anything to do with is so amazing? Even the English dubs of Angel Beats and Clannad are amazing.

To hell with season 2...all they could do is show what Otanashi (forgive me if the name's wrong its been long while) did before he finally left the school. The anime was complete for me, and left me pretty fulfilled, I don't wanna risk them butchering it. I know its key and key is cool but season 2 is a sequel, and sequels are cruel

hmmmm whats it mean if i said that i didn't cry? lol im pretty young myself, ehhh its whatever the very ending when she dissapeared was deffinately a tear jerker and it made me pretty upset but crying just isn't something that happens for me. regardless this anime is without a doubt one of my most favorite ones second only to clanad/after story but they were both made by the same people so im not really suprised

@GenralG7 actually, in episode 13.5, it shows that he stayed behind to help newcomers pass on, and after the episode 13 credits, it is further shown that after passing on himself, both he and kanade are reincanated into the next life, and meet against all odds :)
most people at school would think its weird to watch Japanese anime but later you realize that the seriousness and great story in most of them is 10 times better than our American cartoon bullcrap

@DashMan58 he did pass on, in the original epilogue you see kanade in the real world humming last song and continues walking the street, as she is walking she walks pass otonashi who then turns around with the show ending with him reaching for kanade's shoulder. what you said is what happened in "another epilogue" which just shows what otonashi did after kanade passed on and before the first epilogue.
i havnt cried in years and the ending brought me to tears faster than you can snap your fingers i just want to watch this series over and over again it will never get old

There is no confirmed season 2 yet! its just a fanmade rumor that there will be second term.. The only true rumor that might happen is an angel beat game.Jun Maeda mention it that there might be a possibility of a game adaptation of angel beats! ^^
I keep watching the last episode everyday T_T... I notice something as well that there is like a star thing floating towards the sky might be kanade's soul finally going to re-incarnate ^^

Huh. When I finished it, I thought they were trying to go for a Clannad-esque heart-jerker, but the "oh btw, I love you" at the very end of the plot combined with the overall shortness rendered it ineffective.
On the other hand, I literally almost rofl'ed when watching the Clannad After Story, so maybe it's just me.

I wonder why Kanade came earlier before Otonashi in the afterlife? Otonashi donated his heart(before he died) to Kanade in the real world. Then Kanade was able to survive with the heart but died later on. That means Otonashi supposed to come earlier than Kanade because Otonashi died 1st right?
@chronousnemesis My reasoning for it is that Otonashi was sent to the Purgatory so Kanade could move on, seeing as her regret was her inability to thank him. As Otonashi had no regrets, it makes sense that that would be the reason he came after her.
@chronousnemesis This one was the one played through the ending of the final episode, episode 13. Of course, Kanade was humming My Song during the epilogue.
hey if u guys liked angel beats i would definitely recommend clannad and clannad after story both were made by the same company that made angel beats and both are perfect animes that will play with your emotions like a kitten with a ball of yarn

It was the best Anime I've ever seen. Everything was right.

i think i like Yui's (Lisa's) version better than Karuta's but i still love the song all the same x] such a GREAT anime! funny, yet sad. and it kind of changes you in a way...

Huh. When I finished it, I thought they were trying to go for a Clannad-esque heart-jerker, but the "oh btw, I love you" at the very end of the plot combined with the overall shortness rendered it ineffective.
On the other hand, I literally almost rofl'ed when watching the Clannad After Story, so maybe it's just me.

I wonder why Kanade came earlier before Otonashi in the afterlife? Otonashi donated his heart(before he died) to Kanade in the real world. Then Kanade was able to survive with the heart but died later on. That means Otonashi supposed to come earlier than Kanade because Otonashi died 1st right?

@chronousnemesis My reasoning for it is that Otonashi was sent to the Purgatory so Kanade could move on, seeing as her regret was her inability to thank him. As Otonashi had no regrets, it makes sense that that would be the reason he came after her.

I love this song. It's part of the playlist I listen to in the morning to calm my nerves. By the way, that picture was my MSN display picture for a while on my home desktop. I think it still might be, I haven't been paying attention.

@Garudanime Ye, but... I'd like the version w/o that "happy ending" better... dunno why, but the scene of Kanade disappearing and Yuzuru crying and being left behind alone is so sad, and i think everyone should make a picture of what happens after that in his own mind... :)
