Well, if you think about it, the writers probably didn't create Julie until AFTER Ken 10. They picked Kai just for the Ben 10 first future. Try not to put the two together. It's just easier that way.
Julie is such a good choice for ben. Kai is pretty, but very shallow. I hope she enters Ben 10 alien force when Ben and Juilie have problems then Kai starts hitting on him, and Ben ends up being faithful to Julie in the end.
