@fordgt402 Condenser microphones have a better frequency response (Basically that means they get Lower & Higher frequencies better), they also require phantom power (48v). Dynamics are also better for live performances, while Condensers are better for studio work.
You can get a XLR to 1/4" jack cable from the mic and then use a little 1'4"jack to the headphone sized jack connector to plug into your mac mic socket.
To get a better signal though, you'd need to have a preamp to run through.
