@chimpanzyify Thanks.. Actually it was pretty calm that day as I recall. However, with a decent brushless motor and the ailerons I can handle a pretty stiff breeze with a slowstick. The ailerons make a big difference in the wind as it allows one to correct roll easily. However, as you probably know, the slowstick will not really put up with much wind as it is so light.
@Jv977 Many of speed controls have the function built in. You use a program card to choose the particular tune you want to play instead of the 2 or 3 beeps that give you the cell count. I got my program card from Hobbyking for about $7.
@tyfi109 Good luck - They are great! Yes, you can fly it really slowly as they do not stall easily and are very stable. The basic kit is excellent as a slow-flyer, so don't be concerned by the fact that I stuck a bushless motor on this one.
@AirForcePower88 Hi.. This is a really cheap set up! The complete plane and add-ons is less than $75 including the battery. However to answer you correctly I would have to add $200 for my radio system and $100 for the charger. Of course those are the most variable components and shared across my "fleet" of toys. If you want more info on the exact parts and where to get them reply to this and I will email you
@Cpsvids 75 is pretty inexpensive! Mine was a little more... Slow stick kit($35), BL motor($35), 30A ESC($35), AR500 RX($50), 4xServos($50), Battery($40)... of course this is for all 'name brand' parts, you probably could skimp a little bit on these parts if you got 'generic'.
Great hands! How windy was it (if you can recall), and how would you compare flying in greater winds with ailerons as opposed to without? Thanks!
