cool man. whag u mean removed the rear section and the muffler? Thinking of this header but then theres the fuss with cutting out the stock cat and welding it on etc, not too keen on a hi-flow cat as they usually break and are expensive. Its the only 4-2-1 manifold about for the mini that can bolt in, I dont want to lose any more low-down torque with a 4-1, i would much rather prefer lower down, usable torque, hench thinking of this header
by removed the rear section i mean im running a straight pipe i cut off my muffler right at the bend in the 2nd half of the exhaust.
as far as losing torque you don't have any worry's unless you have a free flowing exhaust system (stock is far from free flowing) like mine which is just a 3 foot pipe after the header and cat or magnflow or alta or borla.
yes there is a significant increase in torque but when i removed the rear section along with my muffler i saw a HUGE increase in hp past 4100rpms my car pulls hard to say the least.
do u know if you can bolt on the stock cat to the obx racing header? b/c i just ordered mine, but i have an "S" and i also ordered my Alta perfromance exhaust and was jw if i could use the stock cat otherwise go cat-less n then buy a o2 simm so it doesnt throw off the o2 readings b/c i dont think there is a spot on the obx header for the 2nd o2 sensor...
there is no bolting when it comes to oem cat + Obx header.... you could cut it off and weild it.
as for the o2 sensor i am running a high flow cat and i still haven't thrown a code.... and you only need one hole for a sensor on the header if you cut your exhaust in the correct spot you will keep the stock hole after the header and cat but before the resonator.
its hard to explain my best suggestion is to just buy a torx set and remove all the bolts that you can find. and then then it should just come out with some effort.
its really easy to take out the back seats. only three torx bolts holding the bracket in the rest is pull out. you do need a flat tip to pry the seats out of the bracket but its easy. i have the rear seat delete kit already in mine.
it most likely would do 0-60 in close to 8 seconds if not under thats mainly due to the weight thats been removed.
i would make a video of its current 0-60...
but my throw out bearing is going out so i can't break it till i have the money to replace the clutch with the lightweight flywheel and stage 2 clutch i have.
But expect new videos once i instill the new fly and clutch.
o shit i would watch out cause first its little things then the midland transmission is gone =/ those things are weak and after a while they blow its a ticking time bomb man. and i heard RMW is making a supercharger for the cooper but u need a getrag 6 speed(from the cooper s) which is a good investment
i know about the midlands problems im actally on the 3rd one (all covered by warranty) the fist lasted 50k the 2nd lasted 712 miles and the 3rd has 26k on it.
just get a getrag 6 speed :) your problems will be over lol and i just found out you are on NAM i was scrolling through the forums and i found your posts lol :)
yeah they really suck get a getrag much nicer and all your problems are over lol i found u on NAM found some of your posts on forums and atleast you have the warranty cause it would be a bitch :)
how much did those headers and cat cost, and where did you get them

could u feel a lower down torque improvement with this header with the 4-2-1 design? Like in-gear acceleration?

wow thts pretty sweet sound how much horsepower are you pushing and whats your fastest 0-60 now that you have all these upgrades

i believe its making 120-125 hp.
