@6CoRpSe6PuLsE6 I'm assuming you meant that the song makes you want to blast your brains out? If so, I looked at your profile...please listen to the song again.
this video is wrong the man is still using the hitch kick "running in the air" i am a sophmore in high school jumping 19' 8" 20' average and thats all ive been using is the hitch kick it greatly increase you distance
@whatido27 Hitch kick isnt the best technique to use, all that matters is what's comfortable and more effective for you. I've been long jumping for 2 years now and im at 23'5 and I use both techniques and both work well for me
@whatido27 do you think that 18's or 19's feet is good for a sophomore in high school? i recently started training for the long jump and 18's and 19's is kind of what i want to jump this season, my best jump before is started training alot was 18', im just looking for an opinion
One isn't necessarily better than the other. The hitch kick technique definitely shouldn't be used until you're jumping over 6.7m. Try both techniques and see which works better for you.
Usually people jumping under 6.7m don't have the flight time to benefit from doing a full hitch kick. If you can do it well that's great news for you.
Great Video, I came across a site that helps get your videos exposed. They helped 5 of my videos get ranked on the first page. If you need any help check them out at tubeviews.(net)

@whatido27 Other than the first run through he's definitely using the hang technique. Both techniques can produce equivalent results.

I jump 6.70m coming out of highschool and been using the hang forever so was wondering if the hitchkick will add any distance ??
xNickMacAdamx 2 years ago
See my comments above. In a nutshell, no, it won't necessarily add any distance
HPCsport 2 years ago
im jumping 5.5m with no technique at all.... so i want to lern one witch one is easyer to learn the hitch kick or hang?
ilikepieinbread 2 years ago
The hang technique is easier for most to learn. I wouldn't even consider the hitch kick until you hit 6m.

which one is better???
i'm from mexico and i want to improve my jump skills!!

Nice. How is it working for Nick? Has he gotten farther in the long jump during practice?
Skates2much 2 years ago
He's jumped at PR levels with the hang already and his technique is becoming more consistent daily.
