We have kept several types of dogs in the past, now we have had a pure bred bullie for years. He is extremely smart with bags of personality, doesn't eat out of trash bins. When I walk him he gets tons of love from strangers who just adore him. Not unlike any other business, there is indeed bad inbreeding going on but there are also reputable breeders out there. Hey, there are people who have more health problems than others, what you are going to do out that - tell them not to have children?
Poor little bulldogs. They where breeded to oblivion. Do any of these idiots even know why they are called bulldogs? they where actually used to handle bulls. Originally these dogs looked like a large pit bull. Now they can't even go on planes because they get too hot. Fucking pointless and stupid. Crufts is all a bunch of bullshit along with every other dog breeder.
Piss off, PETA freak! People like myself love purebreds and at least in my case, I don't care how many mixed breeds are put down in shelters! I think they're ugly and I can't appreciate them when they're so inexpensive compared to purebreds. Breeders will never go away so get used to it! The Bulldog in MY opinion is gorgeous as it is and I wouldn't want it changed just for health reasons.

A "pure" dog is that which is made by nature, anything else is a freak of nature. In my opinion a mix dog from the street is more "natural" than a bred dog. If you have a rare Borzoi or other breed equally as uncommon, that could make for a good conversation starter, but what can you say about a mutt? You can't brag that you imported it from this country or spent a few thousand dollars on it. It's like people preferring designer bags to generic, cheap ones.
