  • Long live John Denver in our hears! ;)

  • Yes, and I had a cassette recorder I wanted to take to a concert in 1977. But it was way too big to smuggle in. I wouldn't have got past the door. This guy in Pittsburgh must have been standing up the whole time! Imagine that!

By the way, there is a report that JD's Universal Amphitheatre concert that was featured in the 'An Evening With' album is going to be released on DVD. It is also reported that Windstar Records is bringing out a DVD box set featuring different concerts! Can't wait

  • Wow, just incredible. He was always in his finest voice. Amazing also that a fan got in with a camcorder. There were no cellphone cams in those days (they were all analog and very primitive), and each concert had a sign that prohibited the performance from being taped or otherwise broadcast. Still someone was able to do it!! Thanks so much for posting.

  • An awesome share Michelle....what a concert !!!!

  • Another Good one Michael, I really like this concert. Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks Michelle, I have now finally posted the last songs from the Pittsburgh show. There remains some doubt in my mind about the running order I have here. Here we have the very funny Ballad of Gary Hart near the beginning while part of its intro comes after one of the later songs!

Even with this doubt it was still a great show and thankfully someone was there to record it. Whoever it was, he or she did us all a favour.

  • It is an Awesome concert!

  • Yes, it is!
