This is an amazing video. You did an excellent job displaying all of the conflict, strife, and wonder involved in the Eugenics wars. I think it would be awesome if a prequel movie or tv show was made centered around the Eugenics Wars; from the initial idea that had no malice, just scientific wonder, to all of the violence and politics that arose from it that explains the policies and attitudes towards it and genetic enhancements as seen in all of the series.
I think if the budget had not been pulled or if the show could have moved to another station, it could have had time to include endless number of different plot lines. I may be mistaken but I believe its cancellation was not because of the show itself nor it's cast and crew but check me if you find info to oppose my hypothesis.

The line from DS9 about the Eugenics War bieng 200 years ago was a bonehead error made by Ronald Moore, he said himself he screwed up by taking the 200 years number from Wrath of Kahn. So its one of those lines of dialogue you just have to ignore.
Agreed! Had the Enterprise TV series premise was based on a Post-Eugenics War and "cleaning" up rogue Eugenic planets, the series would have been more interesting. I am not sure this trailer could match up with the Eugenics War. I believe the Eugenics Wars happened in the 1990s according to canon. Much of the scenes here look to be at least 100 years in the future. As time goes on (in reality), do we just discount canon that is in the past?
No it didn't. Every official Star Trek site I've been on says that The Eugenics Wars happened in 1992 and lasted until 1996. Even Star Trek Enterprise books I have said it happened in the 1990's.

This trailer rocks it! I love the concept and a movie like that would rule it, great tie in, a cross between Balde Runner, Gattaca, Star Trek and all kinds of goodness and totally unique.
As for the music, I love it, this was one of the first internet vids to use it too. :)
But who could play Khan? Every guy in Hollywood would want to do that role!

that's why its called "eugenics wars" and not "eugenic war". there were actually 3 wars.
the first one was in the 90's when Khan and other augments secretly took over 40 nations and ruled over them as shadow tyrants. they got overthrown and a group of them escaped into space.
the second part was in the 2050's when eugments again tried to take over and killed 30 million people. the war then turned nuclear and 600 million were killed.
the third and final part was fought in the 22nd century

Spock said it when he first talked about the wars. he said it was the last earth war.
so since there was another war in the 2050's it must have been one of the eugenics wars.
and in a ds9 episode it was said the eugenics wars was "200 years ago" meaning in the 22nd century.
so the only explanation is that there were 3 eugenics wars.

Yes, they made several books about the Eugenics Wars. For a fan of the TOS series, you may want to read "The Rise and Fall of Khan Noonein Singh". That book series an appearence by Agent Seben and his assistant Ms. Lincoln, from the episode "Assignment Earth".

I am not sure this trailer could match up with the Eugenics War. I believe the Eugenics Wars happened in the 1990s according to canon. Much of the scenes here look to be at least 100 years in the future. As time goes on (in reality), do we just discount canon that is in the past?

No it didn't. Every official Star Trek site I've been on says that The Eugenics Wars happened in 1992 and lasted until 1996. Even Star Trek Enterprise books I have said it happened in the 1990's.

Eugenics has given us positives before, it will do even more if it was used today, with our tech. It must be 100% objective and unbiased. They will be completely the same as humans today, only better selected, and better genes over time. each will have a much increased likely hood of being smarter, have much less genetic illnesses(and thus pain and suffering), likely better metabolism, they will be more attractive, and some others, bigger penises, perkier breasts, better sex, better metabolism and thus less obesity, etc, all that matters to our lives, they will have better and help bring better for all.
