To be honest, all this speed isn't necessary. A standard s550 would be fine, as you only use 1/2 of the power, and you never would floor the car.

You can't exactly speed everywhere. In the UK we have the s350cdi, which is a turbo diesel with around, in usa mpg... 35city, and 40highway. 0-62 takes around 7 seconds, and it has 250bhp, and torques.

More than enough power, and can be as well equipped as the s65/s600

@hotttbunny Basically the S65 engine has so much power and tourque that the 7 speed transmission isn't necessary, I'm not sure but I think I heard somewhere that this engine is also too powerful for the 7 speed, therefor the 5 speed will sufice.
