@Zelfontial ken block broke some vertebrae when he misjudged a jump a year or so ago i think. everyone makes mistakes and its relative. tsuchiya made a mistake while drifting, gonna happen when youre having to watch the power band, what gear youre in, slide angle, speed, and the exit. block, misjudge his speed going into a jump. not saying that blocks less of a driver, just saying that mistakes happen and even the best of the best do it.

it's funny how in cars' instructions manuals, it says that the airbag inflates AND deflates all in under 1 second, but here it stayed inflated. i guess it's because it didn't have a human body slamming into it and pushing the air out the vents in the back.

and this just goes to show you, no matter how good of a driver you are, you can still crash !

there's no airbag on the drivers side of most cars at this spec. Since most have race wheels that dont have an airbag. Plus the harness will keep you from hitting your head.

He is a JGTC racer as well as a regularly participating professional drifter, who is also featured on various different video productions. The HKS D1GP car is tailored for a HKS D1GP driver, who prefers abundant rear grip. Tsuchiya is simply not accustomed to the car tuned with that amount of rear grip after only a few laps with the car.

I'm not sure that would've saved the car. When his front tires hit the rumble strip is when he lost control of the drift. Looks like they bounced a bit and the momentum he had going into the turn carried him into the grass and into the ditch.
