its impossible to remove the Grill on the newly made Z-5500 Digital . ive tryed everything .. cant Smash a screw driver in between also tryed to remove the plastic cover around it and found out that also is impossible ..

try to use a knife instead? or a flat screwdriver, i had a hard time to do it my self but i just smashed the screwdriver inn between the grill and the plastic.. you might cause some damage to the grill but you kan use a hammer and straght'n it up;)

how did u remove ur grill.. i manage to take it off on my first system.. but than i had to get a second and this ones imposible :P

im glad you ask, its verry easy. just use a flat screwdriver and push it in between the grill and the plastic around it, and bend the screwdriver out, from the grill, don't use verry much force but do this at 5 corners on the grill... after that the glue should have loosen. and you can take the grill out.

well thats exactly wat i did with my first system.. but this one rly wont budge.. the new ones have soo much glue, i think they were tryi to prevent this from hapenin :P

i only use on-board, i have a 2 year old computer, building a new one now. but i dont have anny sound card at all. du you have the same system? Logitech z 5500??

with which sound card are you using this speakerd, i got ASUS striker extreme inbuilt optical and Coax so do i need to buy creative sound card X-Fi series or my onboard optical work for it :) ????

i dont have this logitech system, but i do have the asus motherboard with onboard soundcard, i personally thought it would be ok for music listening but i was sadly mistaken.

the problem with onboard sound is that it pops which most frequencies and music levels.

luckily for me i have another computer with a audigy 4, the sound quality is much improved.

I don't use anny sound card at all. i got a Asus P5KC MB and i just use the original cabel that is whit the system. but my guess is that you will get better sound with optical connections.. you can also use both to check and se witch one that is the best:D
