to be brief, i'm hugely impressed with this couple, having seen julia's videos - although originally i thought their dance was too technical, showy &didn't feel the emotion. i see more emotion highlighting the artistry & creativity now. sometimes it takes time for people's taste to adjust or ability to appreciate less familiar styles to develop. i'd also like to make another comment...
estoy de acuerdo con tigo juan pues las personas estan acostumbradas a estereotipòs que importa si ella se ve masculina por eso no deja de ser mujer y bella , bella, y acaso a que mujer normal en su vida cotidiana no le ha tocado hacer el rol delhombre ????? por favor miren màs alla de sus narices, y el verdadero artista es el que se atreve a romper con las reglas y ellos lo logran. que chimba
los vi en La Plata en el festival del 2006, son buenos en teatralizar historias de tango, pero para mi los referentes del Nuevo tango son Chicho Frunboli, Naveira, Fabian Salas, entre otros artistas que hacen cosas diferentes ....
Claro, por eso son diferentes. No hacen cosas que estamos acostumbrados ver en todos festivales. Y lo hacen con intencion de reflejar otros sentimientos, cambiando papeles, etc. Ojala podamos verlos mas en Europa. Muchas gracias por el video...Saludos de España...

beyond just technically wonderful... i never care when people who barely know tango start experimenting with it. then it looks amateur. but these two are such pros that they use tango as a form to tell personal story. all the emotion and connection is there, and it's such a difficult piece of choreography! Melina is an incredible dancer. this is not for people who like forever tango, but it's much much more interesting!

Anoche bailaron en Practica X y la rompieron, hicieron entre otros estas dos coreos que estan en youtube, y nos volvimos locos!!! aca en Buenos Aires nos encantan, apreciamos su arte, conocemos sus trayectorias, los respetamos y cada vez que bailan nos pican las manos de tanto aplaudir!!!

Gracias para decirlo, a mi los encantan tambien, son los mejores. Melina es mi favorita y los dos vienen a Washington DC en Octubre (el 12 y 13 en Lisner Auditorium) para bailar el show que se llama Episodios Cifrados en Tango, tambien con un cantante muy bueno, Guillermo Fernandez. Los invite porque tengo muchas ganas de compartir su talento y el arte tan grande con la gente en Estados Unidos. Es una lastima que poco gente en Estados Unidos conoce a esta pareja de tango y no la entiende.

Hello, I'm sorry for the unnecassary fights this video has provoked. I'm not trying to make you change our opinion, after all it's art and all very subjective, everyone is free to like what they want. I just wanted to say that Melina and Claudio are very well respected tango dancers in Buenos Aires with a background such as Forever Tango on Broadway, CITA performances and much more.
They are now working on various choreographies expressing life stories through tango (they are even bringing a show to the US in October, called Tango Encoded Episodes)and they have been very well received in Europe as well. I must say that the quality of the videos is bad as I was using my photo camera, but I'll be soon posting a preview of the show as well as their old CITA performances where they dance in a more classical manner.
They truly can do anything, they can do classical tango very well, but right now they are experimenting and exploring. They are very technical and the choreography, in my opinion is designed to let them show their skills. In this particular video they are expressing human manupulation within a couple through tango.
