Naples is the Armpit of Europe, I lived there for 2 years while in the Navy in the early 90's. But, the city grows on you and there are beautiful things to see. Not a vacation spot so to speak. I would go back in a heart beat, just for the memories.

Agree with you there. Just got back from Campania and Naples is a bit of a khazi to be honest. I'd go again to visit the sites but it's not the most pleasant place in Italy.
