Great rendition of one of my favorite songs from my youth, but it begs the question... Why do all the country stars just keep remaking rock songs from the 70's & 80's? Why don't or can't they write their own. It's getting old. And I'm not picking on Travis Tritt, many of them do it!
Travis Tritt has own his share of "rocky" type songs, "Start The Car" and "Put Some Drive In Your Country" for example. Also, having an artist remake an old song will expose it to a newer generation who might not have ever heard it before. But I do agree, many artists simply remake older rock songs and don't have any of their own.
ARS does this way better

Travid did not write Start the Car. It is another 70 s song
lespaulverizer 2 years ago
Yes, Start The Car was written and performed by Jude Cole, which was released in 1992, and Travis Tritt is the only other person to record that song.

As a matter of fact, Jude Cole actually played on the Electric Guitar when Travis Tritt recorded this song.
