Hello my WD tv live hub..how can i install netflix cuz i bought it in middle east and i have the vpn for netflix and account

I have a Netgear EVA2000 and I really want to hack it like Freddy Kruger Style, is there any possibility that this hack if slightly modified could work on the EVA2000?? Thanks for any info or random abuse from strangers is also welcome ;)

@ghostaliaz so as far as i know the hack has been out for free without a donation for awhile. B-rad isn't a vending machine he takes a couple of days to respond and if all you did was donate he won't respond. you should look at the downloadable files and the forum. I'll look and see where the files are for you.

kinda risky. how can u tell if the hack messed up the video output performance? this device outputs full 1080p. does the hack lowers its framerate or just anything different?

Does anyone know of a way to get the WD Live TV Plus to play video at color greater than 12bit?

Default, it's set at 8-bit. You can change it to 12-bit, only.

I noticed that some movies (like Pixar films) the video looks fine on a PC and sorta pixelated on the WD Live TV Pro.

Wondering if there's a hack to change it to 16-bit, or even 32-bit??

I've got the WDTV Live (not plus) TBH I got sick of playing around with firmware hacks, getting movie sheets to work etc. I basically just playing movies in list view now. I recently bought a wireless dongle for it (USELESS!) can't connect it to my home network. Just go and buy a HTPC the way you should watch movies from, no messing about it just gets the job done... sleep easy

@pox98 @ajay72588 @ragable. i have not found a way around the youtube issue. it seems like it's controlled from the youtube side not the WDTV. I'm not sure of a method of spoofing the server without doing it through firmware

@pox98 the restrictions are set by the user that loads the video. no known method to get around the block.

Ridiculus thing about WD is that any older version is automatically out of updates once a new version is release. Which is ridiculous. Generation 1 has a table issue with UYV instead of YUV and it was never fixed. New models was released with the table fixed. So it wouldn't be a problem to fix the older version since it is already fixed. Never gone back to WD anymore. Not even for a HDD.

Also, any chance of you guys doing a little exposé of how you run your production (ie. what gear/sw you're using, are you using green-screen, etc)? I'm interested in how it all works.
