Maybe. But there are such things as "brown dwarf's", which are stars that don't have the mass or fuel to "burn" in the light spectrum that we see. That's why NASA ,and such, don't just use the visible light spectrum to analyze and discover stars. The orbiting telescopes often use infrared and x-ray to detect such objects.
