I liked how it started. It sounded like you were making videos for children and adults for how to treat one another with respect. As I continued to watch it I was very upset that you were promoting a message the mistreated a customer and recommended using sarcasm and insulting the customer. I was sorry I had watched it.
This is typical of a customer, and is annoying as all hell. I'm starting to write a book about my personal stories working for a book store, I started a blog to post some of them at booksellingstories.blogspot.com
I don't work at a bookstore but I can COMPLETELY relate to this. It's like any other day in customer service anywhere, the customers simultaneously expect you to be able to read their minds and magically produce whatever they want, but then diss you as being a stupid service employee when you can't meet their expectations.
We once informed a customer that his book was not in stock. His reply was, "You would think a damn book store would have EVERY BOOK." I almost choked on his stupidity.
Booksellers unite! This is awesome! I'll never forget the day a customer got angry with me because I couldn't find a book for her. All she gave me to go on was that it was blue and had a duck on the cover. No title, no author, no subject. She didn't even know the genre.
Yes, customers, if I was a mindreader and could figure out what book you are talking about by the vaguest of vague descriptions....I wouldn't be working here!
Thanks for all the positive feedback! I originally made this video for a friend of mine who is a fellow bookseller, and I hadn't checked it since I posted it. Glad to see other booksellers chiming in. I am going to make another one this weekend for all of you who enjoyed this one.
This is what each of my days are like at the bookstore!! I agree with 'realedvardjr' below..Everyone should see this !!! Now not every customer is like this..but the ones that come in asking questions like this...I am saying these replies in my head!!
The sad part is that I've had this conversation so many times when I worked at B&N. The customer actually asking these asinine questions, and me replying like this in my head.

@Laurie11able Its not an after school special, it's a smart form of comedy. Please stop taking things so seriously.

Reminds me of a customer just like this who walked in and "remembered" a book "about a boy on a farm."
"It had a red cover," she said.
"Oh, sure!" I said. " 'As I Lay Dying'! William Faulkner!"
In all honesty, I don't remember whether the woman bought the book or not....

This is the best! It's every customer I've ever had all rolled into one. The only thing missing is him asking if he can borrow a book.

"I could get Mr. Dumbledor for you"
"Ok I'll wait right here"
...
"I'm sorry, he died"
"Another employee, Mr. Snape killed him"
I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Thank you. XD
