Or there are tst, power puck, or mp8 models that you plug inline to gain timing and rail pressure. The reason a diesel smokes is because its burning too much fuel with not enough air. @TheRicoMalibu Well it goes like.... when you're burning hot and blowing hard (think like 1k's worth of power and 1600tq, and maybe 1500f on the egt's the emissions vaporize a bit more. I'd guess these mill's are decomped a bit to handle the boost levels and have to run richer (more fuel) down low to spool.

Maybe it just looked faster than it was to me.
