Yeah no doubt, 160 is crazy loud. I guess I'm so used to seeing higher numbers in SPL only vehicles. And I understand it wasn't purpose built for SPL alone but more as a hybrid SPL+SQ=SQL. Awesome work though I enjoyed seeing the total rebuild from what it used to be.

No, it would only cancel if they were facing each other and wired backwards ie: if one side pushed while the other side pulled there would be no net pressure gain in the cabin.
As long as they are wired properly (no doubt the man knows what hes doing) both will push together and both sides equal a huuuge positive pressure wave that is all directed forward through that nifty mirrored tunnel.

dude, that is seriously a nice setup, but either your equipment is off, or the sub box is not built to spec, but you are not hitting that loud. I had 2 12" Rockford power HX2s, 4 1000.1 amps, 15 (not 1.5) farad phionex gold capacitor and when I competed, I was in the rang of 154-157 dbs. tuned to 30. Not picking a fight or anything, just something ain't adding up. Thats all.

Without knowing you or anything about you, i can safely say you probably dont even do a 145 on the new meters....not dissing, its the truth. Get on the termlab sensor and then check back :)

Have to agree with u on this one, a buddy of mine had a inaccurate mic like that, I did 154 db, on the termlab, about 145. I got one pierce audio 18wmd2, 2 soundstream trx2000ds strapped at 2 ohm. Audio Control 3055 was used, and it did hit 160.

one of the easiest meters to manipulate.....im TELLING you, if im on that same meter i am 20db louder if not more. Do some research on the TL mic youll see. Better yet, go to a real dbdrag, Mecca, or Usac contest and then report back....your boys shit is NOT as loud as the caddy, no fuckin way.

Honestly, I can't verify the accuracy of the meter that specific day. I've heard authentic 160db, and it was pretty damn close.........

if he really did break his back window, tell him to stop playing his music with shit on his back dash. thats the only way he would of broke his window, that or it was already weakend big time by something else and the flex got to it rather then the actual volume.

No, it would only cancel if they were facing each other and wired backwards ie: if one side pushed while the other side pulled there would be no net pressure gain in the cabin.
As long as they are wired properly (no doubt the man knows what hes doing) both will push together and both sides equal a huuuge positive pressure wave that is all directed forward through that nifty mirrored tunnel.

If only i had one of those speakers.. haha.. I have an orion 15.2 H2 2500 watts, but I don't know if it works.. I hooked it up to a 2400 watt amp but i think i hooked it up backwards, so the guy unhooked it fast.. got any old amps laying around that you'd sell?

dude, that is seriously a nice setup, but either your equipment is off, or the sub box is not built to spec, but you are not hitting that loud. I had 2 12" Rockford power HX2s, 4 1000.1 amps, 15 (not 1.5) farad phionex gold capacitor and when I competed, I was in the rang of 154-157 dbs. tuned to 30. Not picking a fight or anything, just something ain't adding up. Thats all.

the problem is you werent on a term lab sensor....the new ones. If this was on the same mic you were metered on, it would probably do 180. Without knowing you or anything about you, i can safely say you probably dont even do a 145 on the new meters....not dissing, its the truth. Get on the termlab sensor and then check back :)

ya back in the day they used the old AC mics...they are anywhere from 5-15db high depending on the mic and the guy runnin it...trust me bro i LOST db big time when they moved to the new sensors..

Have to agree with u on this one, a buddy of mine had a inaccurate mic like that, I did 154 db, on the termlab, about 145. I got one pierce audio 18wmd2, 2 soundstream trx2000ds strapped at 2 ohm. I thought that mid 150's was were I shoulda been at, but the termlab mics are much more accurate. Great shit I watch your vids everyday. Anything in the works for 09.
