Smith was forced below the yellow line and they took the win away from him. Jr. in 2003 didn't have to go underneith the yellow line he just did so he could win in his own cheap way. Jr. didn't win at "Dega" in 03 but Smith won in 08. They only did that because Jr. is so popular but he sucks!!

@highway955: I am not a Jr. hater, but what do you say about the 2009 Daytona 500 race where he purposely wrecked Brian Vickers (remember he admitted it was on purpose the following day). NASCAR didn't even penalize him then. NASCAR knows that if they penalize Jr., that half the stands will empty out. The fact is they play favorites with the rules, and if you can't see that, then you, my friend, are blind.

Tony's pass in 2001 looks almost just like Dale Jr.'s in 2003. NASCAR is awful when it comes to the sanctioning body... everyone knows it's based on favoritism. Bottom line, Tony forced Regan to go below the line. Regan won the race unofficially but if NASCAR was really fair, Paul Menard would have won because they should have penalized both Tony and Regan. Both did what they had to do. If it were me, I'd honor what they've done in the past and throw the rule out on the last lap.
