harsh! either way i semi agree, you need to learn that piece of kit more you can juice some ridiculous sounds out of it...that just sounds like an init patch played with a really basic step seq pattern.
eitherway its not for anyone else to judge, as long as you are having fun :)
Hello how did you make all those lights blink on and off on your virus? Was is because you recorded all the parameter movements to your computer from all those parts on your keyboard? Cheers.
It does that itself. I just used different arp patterns. No computer involved. I have a feeling the camera made them all look like they're blinking at the same time. Interesting...
Dude... first of all: Every synth sound is not worth it without effects - the effects are adding the deep thing to it ;) A sound without a good mixdown always sounds lush... its the mixdown which makes a good sound spectacular. Anyway: Youre calling the Virus sounding wimsy? Well, seems like you never really got into sound design with a virus...
This is not true that way. Good Synths have a deep sound without effects. But for the Mixdown, you're right. The Virus Sounds very deep, but you have to know what to do (not masking it with FX - shitty sounds with FX sound even worse).
First refx isn't "modeled" after virus. They are actual Virus sounds, so no modeling happening.
Second, "virus sounds like a vst"? Are you just fvcking dumb? I've been in music for 16 years and never heard a single person say something like that.
Or get a real analog synth because you obviously dont have one.
I hope you mean that the virus sound better than Vst right? Are the Virus TI just a fatter version of this Indigo 2 or are they two totally different once? If I buy one, I should aim for the TI right?
yes you should. the ti i is a complete new generation of the viruses. you can use it like a VST too, but sound is always processed in the Virus. I bought the new Ti2 last week. Listen up an see here wat it can do :)
sry, but that sounds like "i got into analog synths and will never be open for new stuff"! Its a new aera - a virus TI has it's own sound - look at newer productions: it's digital aera - well, I like analog synths too - got my bass station, my andromeda - but anyway, you have to be open-minded and go with time! Try to combine the new generation with the old analog stuff to create new things :)
Hey man how much does a virus indigo workstation cost?

You don't know the analog boost parameter? Poor you, it makes the Virus FAT without loading shitty Trance FX over it ;)

virus is good but nowhere near as dense as real analog...virus sounds like a vsti, in fact most vsti's like refx are modeled after virus

you don't have to be rude. i doubt your brave internet ass would talk to me like that in real life. internet coward.
i just made a point, and yes virus does sound like a vst, albeit a premium vsti...it is after all C code on off-shelf microprocessors.
real analogs on the other hand have depth...try the spectralis...it is a dsp synth but has REAL ANALOG filterbank.
many vsts sound like crap, i know, but there are premium vsts like spectrasonics...i have been in the music business longer than u
