  • Thank GOD they are still touring! It's not a shame. It's a tribute, a celebration. I saw them open for Priest 3 weeks ago, and their sound was impressive. and it's inspired me to buy all the albums and I can't stop listening to them.

I see by this video that they always sound good live. Not many bands can do that.

  • Fantastic. Just Fantastic!!! Cheers up-loader for another awesome Thin Lizzy concert :D

  • GREAT BAND! ! !

  • loved this tour!!! Awesome.

  • Just love this man and his voice!!!I am sitting here reading the book his mom just wrote My Boy and listening and watching this!!! A Deep meaningful song!Bless Him

R.I.P PHILIP YOUR MUSIC WILL LIVE ON FOREVER!!!!!!!! The man could write songs!!!

  • The best ever!Keeping his music alive!Saw Phil Lynott in 1980! Thin Lizzy was the best! Not a song i don't like!RIP Phil! Will never be another like you!! Love the man!!!

  • yorkshiretractors...u r a fucking cocksucker...every chance u get u put down gary moore on everyone of his vids...u r a jealous putric fuck...u stupid dipshit...take your goddamn jealous rage somewhere else..oh..AND FUCK THE GERMAN ASSHOLES U R GIVING CREDIT FOR GARYS TALENT...LOSER

  • @keepitgreasey1 i disagree with you, phill is a legened and there will never be another man like him, he is thin lizzy, he is rock. the currant touring thin lizzy are living on the memory of the late great phill lynott, i was at their show, they tell it how it wasnt possible without him and let the spirit of phill live on. someone needs to teach the young and old who was the man who ruled the 70's and early 80's of rock you know. ;)

  • sound engi kills guitar soli

  • john sykes was a great addition to thin lizzy

  • 9:34 cold stone sober & cold stone sweat!!!!

Runnin down the back of my neck!!!!

    thanks for the post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wish the audio was better. seems like they sounded great live.

  • Ah the Hitchin ...those were the days ...

  • 'Its's a deep, meaningful song... NO, it's not Whiskey in the fookin' Jar...'

X'OD Love it - what a legend!!! Awesome show!!

  • One thing about Robbo, he did face the cameras--

  • @yorkshiretractors saw gary moore last year he was piss up he cant play live and when he stop playing the sound kept going is that a backing tape or what ? he treats fans like shit gary moore the biggest twat in music

  • UMMMMMM FUCK YEA!!!! LIZZY LIVES !!

  • super band!!!

  • Brain on the drums he is so in the pocket he Rules!

  • R.I.P. Phil Lynott

    12:36 I love his devil-like smile.

What a band, as solid as a diamond!

  • for my 16Th birthday i was taken to see Lizzy. think it was about february 1983 at queens hall Leeds. i was taken aback by the presence of Phil and co on stage and been going to see bands live ever since. a big thanks from me

  • @efilnikufecin41 saw them at bradford in 1979 with saxon who was backing them at leeds ? .

  • @yorkshiretractors mamas boys supported them at Leeds.

  • Does anyone know if you can get this concert on CD or Mp4? And if you can where please? Thanks.

  • dont make muscicians like him nymore

  • good concert with the last line up from lizzy.history.but legends

  • Love the Bass on Cold sweat Phil was really a talented musician not like bass players nowadays!!!

  • my favorite Lizzy lineup

  • awesome vid!!!

  • really is... good shots...

  • one ofthe first bands i ever got to see live back in 1978. Thin Lizzy has played a very important part in influencing my own musical carreer.

  • I live just down the road from Hitchin. nothing happens there these days. i would expect to read a history of Hitchin which reads:

    1. 300ad - town created.

    2. 1646 - English Civil war

    3. Thin Lizzy grace us with there presence and blow all town folk away!! lol!!

  • When they kick in to 'This is the One' at 5:42 it is just awesome.

  • The reason God built a stage. Thankfully I had the honour of seeing this man Live only the once! Seen so many since and nothing compares. Class and style!!!

  • You lucky, lucky guy. I was born in 1990, I hate the fact that I will never get to see Philly in all his glory live on stage.

  • As long as Brian Downey is in there, I'm a happy guy, of course the original line up of Lynott,Gorham,Robertson&Downey always will be the best. What's with all the "n" 's down there, lol

  • This is the line-up with Scott Gorham and John Sykes.

  • The guitars are way to low! Very annoying, becasue theyre playning very good and thigt. Probably my fav band ever:D

  • i agree that the guitars are waaaay too low in the mix. gorham is really good, and sykes is one of my favorite guitarists ever. Lizzy is really friggin good man

  • saw all forms of TL from Bell to Robbo to Snowy and Scott when I was a young lad in So. Cal. Santa Monica Civic in 1979particularly comes to mind. front row center orchestra pit......glance up at the ceiling....that was our view of the show! the music of my youth lives on and still rocks the house!

  • is this scott goram and snowy white pure legend?

  • People ! I have owned the double album "Live and Dangerous " since 1978, and it is still without a doubt one of top 3 live albums I have EVER HEARD. Anyone who has a chance to listen -do it right away - Thin Lizzy was SO GREAT. RIP Phil...

  • Lizzy's always the band I use as an example when people ask me why should they use a service like rhapsody. It was so awesome to get on rhapsody and listen to ALL of Lizzy's stuff.

I'll be sure to point them to this video from now on as well. Thanks for posting. There's so little out there. Was good to find this.

  • I bought "Live and Dangerous" twice on vinyl, once on cassette, once as CD and then as MP3. It never gets old.

    Thin Lizzy **IS** SO GREAT.

    (somtawyer, also a Rush fan?)

  • somtawyer is MOST definitely a Rush fan, and proud to have been one since 1981 , when I was given Moving Pictures as a Birthday gift. My life changed for the better that day !

  • My youngest son (14) is learning to play bass. Better yet, he can already play bass. I have already turned him onto Thin Lizzy and Level 42, but he just can't seem to get into Rush.I keep trying.

On the back of the Bad Reputation cover it says "Special thanks to the people at Plaza II and our friends Rush"

  • why is this never celebrated here in hitchin.

this town had so many great bands come to play then they pulled the regal down and turned it into a doctors surgery

  • johnny sykes is such a dude worthy replacement for people like robertson and bell i still think theyre better at hard rock than heavy metal tho

  • this has been said many times already, but thank you for posting this, i never knew it existed. I love Thin Lizzy, so much talent...RIP Phil.

  • Ya fkn right.I need this in my collection,i bought life in early 80's ,a dvd to match would be fkn amazing.

  • Is this from the "Thunder And Lightning" DVD?

  • this video rules, the guy who posted it rules thanks a ton!

  • I was not at this concert. Why? Becourse I live in sweden.

  • Yeah, thank you so much bro.

  • Thanks for posting this Thin Lizzy ROCKS!!!

  • my husband was there!!!!!!!!

  • That lucky son of a bitch...

  • Phil is and was Thin Lizzy. It is a shame that former members still touring under the name Thin Lizzy. Phil, you were the greatest. RIP.

  • @keepitgreasey1

Why is it a shame? it's not like they're writing new material, they're basically just a tribute band, the ultimate tribute band i believe. Dude if you're really a fan of Thin Lizzy you'd have to support also "the former members" and not just Phil Lynott. Seriously, fans(you people) are the worst kind.

  • @keepitgreasey1 just be appy they tour

  • @keepitgreasey1 why is it a shame? those former band members have to eat too!!! they do there shows and show nothing but respect love and class for phil's contribution to thin lizzy!! i agree there not close to being as good as the original line up How Could they Be ? that band was Perfect !! i applaude them for keeping the music out there because nothing like lizzy is around anymore !!

  • Probably the best hard rock band ever. Sadly enough i never saw them. Lynott was a true genious.

  • That great, deep, Irish voice!

will never be another phil --RIP!

  • THIN LIZZY RULE!!!

  • Phil you still looked good to me, i was there.

  • where does sykes play that pinched harmonic to???

  • WOW! hey, thanks so much for this show.

  • Where is the region 1 DVD release for this concert? It was scheduled for a 2004 release, but then pulled - and has never been rescheduled.

  • Can't wait to go and see them in November!

    Love Thin Lizzy

  • Damn good band! Best ever :-)

  • wow cheers, wish i could have seen lizzy with Phil. Though still happy to have seen them at all.

  • loved Phil and Thin Lizzy ,but, hey, straight up, Sykes made the tunage sound that much better, R.I.P. Phil

  • I agree...very underappreciated indeed.

  • Thin Lizzy is probably the most underappreciated rock group here in America, and for that reason I feel a special connection to anyone who loves them as much as i do!

  • I don't know how much anyone else digs them, but I adore the shit out of em. They're not unappreciated in my heart!

  • Foi sim

  • Fuckin True, one of the most influential in hard rock and metal.

  • can sum1 plz tell me how i can get to da song running back plz
