Wrong...The Toronto Star audited the records for Calgary in 1999 and found they were a huge money loser after factoring in tax payer subsidies to build everything. Of course if you ignore taxpayer money then yes calgary was profitable..LOL..Just more B.S. Olympic myth making.
Calgary made a profit of $1 million. Montreal was the city that lost money. He really needs to get his facts straight.

Including everything... Calgarians and all Canadians were proud they pulled off a profit. Unfortunately, Montreal wasn't so lucky 12 years earlier...

Yes but the Athens and Beijing games were highly profitable. Its a gamble i guess.
