Just an idiot wouldn't know what causes Global Warming. Have you forgotten about the gases at the atmosphere that it's no news, it's caused by us? Unfortunately that's the true and the only answer to the question. It doesn't matter how much degrees it's gotten colder. It's just getting warmer and warmer.

You can't take it from the people who invented the idea. How does that prove its validity? Look at the meteorological history of ANY given place and show me an upward trend in temperature in the last 100 years.

Nam, have you gone to the NOAA or NASA websites and looked at their temp histories for the last 130 years? It's very obvious that temps are going up worldwide.

Remember that global warming is causing patterns of weather to change so it's possible that the individual areas you are looking at are not rising but overall temps worldwide are in fact rising.

No they are not. Do real research. I used the US and international weather scanning buoys ALL OVER THE WORLD and if you compare the last 30 years it averages over all about 3 degreas cooler.

The earth has cycles and it won't get warmer or colder very fast or to extremes.

I'm not a scientist but I do know that winters are shorter and summers are getting longer as for me, i do believe in global warming but there are many factors that most people are unaware of such as the sun is expanding, the magnetic field is changing and the use of carbon base fuels is warming the planet. But you still have not given me any evidence in support of that. Last winter we had the coldest temperatures for the longest period of time ever recorded in the last 80 years. That's not so warm in my opinion. I live in SW Washington, USA. We don't get much "wintry" weather here, but last year we had a blizzard and a hard freeze for 3 weeks afterward. The earth is designed to take care of it self, we need to make good use of it and not abuse or trash it.

I think we should take better care of the planet. I am the biggest advocate for wind power on this planet. That's why I am going to school to be a Wind Turbine Technician. But as I studied the earth's meteorological history in certain places, I begin to see a 35-60 year cycle in weather and temperature. There is no trend in a certain way ever. Not warmer not colder. That's why I said there is as much evidence to prove global cooling as there is global warming. It's just marketing.

Odd that NASA, NOAA, DOE, EPA, NAS, RAS, WMO, Scripps, Woods Hole, IPCC, USGS, CDC, etc all disagree with you. The earliest models predicted warming at the highest latitudes first. They were right. The Arctic Ocean is practically free of multiyear ice in winter and almost ice free in summer.

The Greenland ice sheet is melting faster than can be predicted. GRACE can tell you how much ice it loses. It's not marketing. It is real.
