some idiot kid thought i was talking about poison....like i would listen to that crap.dont open your mouth unless ya know your facts. besides your using the name megadethisawesome hahaha.
@quitemad511 Poison is glam rock and pantera are metal you fucking idiotic moron and this version beats the shit out of the poison version anyday of the week bitch fuck you and they have to dress up like chicks back then was fucking pathetic megadeth pantera whize zombie metallica testament alice in chains soundgarden didnot have to dress up like chicks at all and those bands alot more heavier than what poison is you fucking poser fuck glam rock bands.
I thought this was original from Pantera, and was surprised at the time (91)that this was a littl'different from their usual sound : but a cover !? I didn't like the movie the crow because incidents and pessimistic; and circumstances in wich Dimebag died, this is all terrible and unacceptable, socially !!!
@hullett29 It was on his face... POISON IDEA. tentonhammermh is a litle bit stupid(I would say that on a smart way, but I don't know english very well... :S).
@tentonhammermh POISON IDEA!!! Pantera had good taste on what to cover and their originals...... fucking priceless. They fucked the world in the ass with the powers of rock.
@divein360 I was shocked as hell when I first heard Pantera doing this song. I had no idea anybody outside the pacific northwest even knew who Poison Idea was.
@OperatorOscillation lol. i live just on the otherside of protland. lol. literally 5 minutes away. but yeah. poison idea fucking kicks ass man... so does pantera.
@OperatorOscillation Portland is well known for music these days. Poison Idea toured the world and influenced so many bands. So did the Wipers and they are less well known. There's also a very strong crust punk base there.
@bobokk I remember when Poison Idea played their "last" show in 93. My friend saw me walking down the street, pulled over, and said with excitement "I'm going to PI's last show ever down in Portland, I'm going to have them sign all my shit!" and he had a collection of PI records in his passenger seat. He also bragged about how he'd been to every PI show ever (though now that I know that they've been around since 1980, I suspect there's an element of bullshit in what he said).
Were they touring around the world back then or was it just during the post-break up? I just assumed they only played locally. PI definitely played a part in the development of crust. Positively Negative, Whorehouse of Representatives, Amerifucked. There probably wouldn't be any of that if it werent for bands like PI and the Accused.
@OperatorOscillation I remember they toured Europe around 92 or 93 but yeah most of their non-US tours must have been post break-up. A lot of their stuff was released on the UK label Vinyl Solution so they have a strong following there.

The ending, with the "I'll kill you" being repeated sounds like it's from the ending of Taxi Driver? I'm surprised no one mentioned this

Plus the beginning "Suck on this", forgot that too
JasonC520 11 months ago
@JasonC520 That's because it is from Taxi Driver. They used samples from the movie for the song.
