So beautiful. The most beautiful song for me. The music is just fantastic and the talent of these two women makes me happy and thankful of being alive.
does anyone agree when i say that Dawn doesnt have that 'normal' thick singing voice like the other singers have? her voice is wonderful, but im hearing a bit of a difference in her voice...thanks for this video! :D
YES!! She keeps it light; I think it's probably the musical theatre influence. Listen to Glitter and be Gay; you can't sing a high E-flat and be heavy. I wish SO MANY singer (male and female, high and low, dramatic and lyric, etc.) would learn from her.
Dawn Upshaw is absolutely stunning! I just can't take my eyes off her!
trivia: I think she actually might be left handed but is writing right handed because of the time period. Check out her video singing "sea-gull" (great song, by the way) and she writes with her left hand in that...just something interesting :)
As great of a performance as this is, I think Susanna's vowels are extremely spread at some parts of this duet.

can't you find this edition without the disturbing scratches in the recording? This
sucks!!!

@hansen4 be glad you have the opportunity to watch it at all. it's not available anywhere else and that's the only recording i possess.
or do you think i'm some kind of videostore with several hundred copies and i decided to upload the one with the worst quality?
