  • I see this video seen 2008, best Slideshow Ever Man!! Congrats!!

  • 1:52 = Lich King minus the blue eyes. :L

  • I don't think I could ever listen to this too much.

  • Nothing is nerdy itself, but some things have more nerd - followers than others. However, I like other books more than LOTR. LOTR can be called the most influential, but calling something "the best" is really stupid. Figure out why yourself...

Even if I like other books more than the Lord, I still thing that this album is their masterpiece. XD

  • you RULE !!!

  • This is the best video for this song!!!

  • @telperiontree

    Hvala vam puno! =)

  • @moOswe It is "The Ministrel", also from Nightfall in Middle-Earth.

  • Love Blind Guardian Love Middle Age grab a sword or put your gun in your ass

  • The world shall hear this sad song

Song of sorrow, song of grieve

Can't change the way of his kind

Can't change the way of her kind

    Most underrated Blind Guardian song.

  • I discover BG with this song. It blow my mind. BG is the fuckin law and you should know it!

  • Beren and Luthien

  • Whats the name of the last song?

  • Whats the last song nearing the end

  • @MalusvirZechin I think it's "The Minstrel"

  • @Mithcoriel thanks

  • i´m real huge Tolkien fan and my favorite book will always be "THE SILMARILLION"!!!

But i´m not familiar to the music of blind guardian.

    So i have to ask:

Is all of their music in some kind related to the books of Tolkien???

    Cause it seems like it.

I listened to a few tracks now and i have to admitt that i quite like it!!! :-)

  • @gallai1 Nope, but alot of their songs are. The Bard's Song - In the Forest, the Bard's Song - The Hobbit, Harvest of Sorrow, and Lord of the Rings are some examples of BG Tolkien songs, not including the epic masterpiece Nightfall in Middle-Earth which is completely about the Silmarillion.

  • @acejesse13

thanks....i just got me nightfall in middle-earth.

    and i love it!!!

  • @gallai1 Good to hear! It's one of my favorite albums of all time, from any artist.

  • @gallai1 not all of their music, but of all the Nightfall in Middle-Earth album. They have some songs Tolkien-based as well, from other cds, like "The Lord of the Rings" from Tales from the Twilight World" Album, for Manwe's sake, what a song! But they have songs based on Dragonlance and King Arthur and other epic stories, they are truly the Bards of Metal!

  • very good

  • I deliberately postponed listening to this album in order to read the Silmarillion first. And now that I have, I can say that Tolkien would've enjoyed this very much.

    Maravilhoso !!!!!!!

  • u forgot to add the fact that Hansi used to play bass.

  • @NorthFulton88

    Bah, that was ages ago...

  • la mamada

  • Please Blind Guardian play this live on the next tour! Please! Underrated song IMO.

  • Love the band, but have to say the Slide Show is pretty... ye, I don't know "But together, they are, Blind Guardian!" : D

  • LoL "The slide show is pretty lame" :P

  • Also found this band recently...But boy, are they good! Anyone able too make music too Tolkien is awesome!

  • And after "The Ministrel" Goes "The Curse Of Feanor"...What an amazing band and what an amazing album...:D

  • wow blind guardian are alot older than I thought....( new to blind guardian XP )

  • welcome, then. haha.

Znanje, though I don't like the switches too much, you did find quite cool paintings. Where are they taken from?

  • YEs the are my friend...They make their first demo "Lucifer's Heritage-Symphonies of doom" at 1985...And they make their first album "Batallions Of Fear" At 1988...They are my fav band...^ ^

  • I said the same thing a few about 6 or 7 years ago. lol but, they are one of my favorite bands to this day.

  • tbh :P That sucked, good song tho

  • At least your being honest ;P It was an assignment, I got my marks

  • Dont listen to him! This didn't 'suck' this was adequate!

  • i just like that song.

  • @channellxxx

excellent song from an excellent album by an über-excellent band!

  • The Blind Eyes Can See What Others Cannot!

  • TOGETHER....THEY ARE....BLIND!

  • Rly cool video!

  • great song, great album, great band !

  • ha. At 2: 28 I own that print. It looks very nice on my wall. Ted Nasmith rulez.

    Blind Guardian rules!!!!

  • Aj, this is true, but that was before Nightfall :)

  • Mate you forgot that Hansi also plays exellant bass...

  • brings back memories from a decade ago, damn i was greenish those days. but still i must admit they know their business :D

  • Marcus and André are amazing as guitarists, i really like their style. LONG LIVE THE BARDS!

  • Pozdrav, prijatelji!

  • Out in the cold

I still wait for her call

    And her last kiss

    It shall be release

    I can't forget her

    Her face will not leave

From the depths of my soul

I long for her... Moj Omiljeni Deo...

  • ...

    :")

  • Blind Guardian najbolji bend na planeti!!!

    Blind Guardian forever,the best!!!!!

  • do they ever play this song live?

  • Haha, that would be a thing to see: Tolkien headbanging to Blind Guardian. Even better: Tolkien in a Guardian moshpit XD Oh, if only he were still with us today...

  • That would be sick! Man can you believe that some losers actually call Lotr nerdy!!! I think they should read it or jump off a really really really high cliff!

  • The Silmarrilion, the Hobbit, and the Lord of the Rings all together make up the greatest modern epic. For goodness' sake, it's the best epic in all of history!!! :D

  • The Middle Earth saga is most probarly one of the greatest epics ever written, if not THE best. However, there's a little competition when it comes to books like Paradise Lost, although it's a completely different genre and type of book. It's all a matter of opinions. I'd have to say that, in my opinion, the Middle Earth saga (that's right, all of the books), Paradise Lost and The Bible are my favourites. And I'm not religious, i just like the concept of The Bible.

  • i think that steven kings the dark tower could rival it, both amazing series

  • Yeah forgot that one! Great series aswell

  • @Samus234567 Amen !

  • @Samus234567

And it pisses me off when critics and commentators or just plain ol dumb people compare them to modern day fantasy writers/books. Like ok, some of them are decent or at least original to some extent and enjoyable. But "comparable"... not in the least bit!!

  • @metalferret

I think your right. However, I'd have it read to them before they jumped :)

  • @metalferret But it is KIND of nerdy.

  • @metalferret Whoever calls LOTR nerdy should be castrated.

  • Lol a BG Moshpit. You should respect BG's music more than Mosh~ crap. ;)

  • Yeah they def do kick ass! My fave albums would have to be Imaginations, Nightfall and Night at the Opera. I just feel those are their most powerful albums. BTW thanks for all the comments, I mean personally, 2 years down the road, I dont think the vid is that good by standards today, but hey. ;)

  • blind guardian rocks ass!

  • lómelantë endoressë

My Quenya's not great, but I think it's close enough.

I wonder what Tolkien would think of Blind Guardian

  • I've often wondered that, myself.

  • I don't think he would like it that much... It's defenitely not his kind of Imagination of Arda... nor is it mine...

    But Blind Guardian still rocks!!

  • Some really cool artwork in this video

I love Guardian, My fave is the Bard Song

  • i love the beginning :D

  • Actually, I consider this the weakest track but it's still a good song. All of Nightfall is great. Btw, I think you are forgetting about And Then There Was Silence

  • Hay man, this is a kick ass song!

  • Hansi has the fashion sense of Hans Moleman :s But WE LOVE HIM because singers are there to SING, not to look at :P

  • Hans Moleman?? Jajajajaja!!

Always in my heart: BB & SIMPOSONS!!

  • IVE SEEN THEM LIVE IN ATHENS!

i love them 7 years now...when i saw them live, and after shouting hansi's name(over and over)finally for one moment he looked at me...u cant imagine how i felt...

PS:this song is awesome,so is the band ^_^

  • It is sad to know that they used to be such a great band until the drummer left and went to join a screamo shitty band called Coldseed. Now they sound like a Boys Band with a guitar.

    Blind Guardian R.I.P 1987- 1998

  • i thought he left to form savage circus

  • He did but now he got a side metalcore-screamo band in joint with some American band.

  • i check at wiki and it says that he got fired because of his health. i bet he wish he didt leave Blind Guardian

  • He got fired because of his health? I doubt it. The guy moved up from one band to TWO bands and in perfect conditions. I read on an interview from Rockbrigade that he left because "the band is taking another musical road" meaning that Blind Guardian has been changing their sound "since A Night at the opera".

  • no i mean he got fired from savage circus

  • Oh. Well, now he is in Coldseed. Is an alright band if it wasn't for the sellout screamo characteristics.

  • That is very good video. Blind Guardian rules...

  • Good times when there was one instead of 15 Hansi's in each song chorus... and a drum was needed. Now all the songs sound alike and Thomen... oh well.

It was a good band until Night at the opera came out...

  • Night at The Opera was a good album, but it was when Blind Guardian decided to "let the orchestra do the job" such as *gasp* Rhapsody (of Fire).

  • A Night at the Opeara is not really that bad

  • Well... Thinking of it, it's not that their material got crappier, but, instead it went in a direction I guess I wasn't fond of. Can't deny their skill or even "feeling" in their newer compositions but, it's just "something else", which you gotta dettach completely from what you had in mind of BG. A different band... Ok, I guess I am not into this new phase of theirs. That's all. Not that they suck, it's just not my style anymore

  • they change back to power metal on a twist in the myth

  • for me,Guardian reached the top at nightfall in middle earth.

although my favorite band for like 8 years,

i dont really like their very first albums.

but, night at the opera and twist in the myth is also Guardian, thus it also rules.

At nightfall, the left the whole J.R.R.Tolkien thing, and stoped singin bout lotr and Silmarillion.

    But they still rule :)

(thats a big reply isnt it? :S )

  • yea it is a big reply

  • this one and the curse of feanor are the best 2 songs on this album

    cool vid!!

  • Totallyfreaking agreed.

  • Long live Blind Guardian!

  • When I bought this album, I thought this would be one of the ballads on it, but it blew my fucking ass away when I listened to it. These guys have SOOOOOO much talent.

  • Their slowly becoming my favourite band

  • Beautiful! Blind Guardian are my absolute favourite band!
