I jave a 2002 accent is it the same process to remove the manual window levers as well?

Josh, the color is not important but the thickness and texture is, as the rag needs to "catch" the retaining clip to pull it off.

I just use a flat head screw driver to remove that chip. I am sure it's not the best way to remove it but it works.

A standard shop rag. the clip digs into the rag and might damage a few strands of the rag.
