If I'm not mistaken, yanderes are more prone to kill out of jealousy, not to impress someone. also the cloaked woman who appears at the end of the manga is not Misa. it was follower of kira. i'm not really a death note fan so i'll stop talking.

Well, don't forget. Misa was misguided and brain washed by Kira. Believing Kira to be her savior, Misa developed a sort of crush on the unknown 'savior' (Yagami). She avidly believed in his ideals of destroying the wicked and tainted and 'freeing' the pure from their threat.

However, then there's Death Note-Misa, who is unflinching when she offers to kill one of her friends simply because she'd be an inconvenience to Kira. She killed innocent policemen and some other TV-oriented perps to get Kira's attention, and is willing to do whatever it takes to make him love her. She thought that the way a Shinigami could die was "a wonderful way to kill."

In terms of personality, it's argued that Misa seems to have two. The regular, model/actor-Misa is a cheerful, happy young girl who's ever the optimist. Deep down, though, Misa's just a lovesick girl who wants more than anything else for her crush to love her back, and for the world to be a better place; despite the methods needed to achieve it. "To defeat evil, there must be sacrifices."

When she wanted to meet Kira, she put her own life at risk to find him. When she wanted to win his affection, she offered her life, love, and Death Note to Kira so that he would trust her. She would be his eyes so that Kira could continue purging their world of tainted criminals. So you see, Misa DOESNT kill in vain.
