  • memories back then i cherished

  • really epic

  • Daddy misses you, sniff, sniff.

  • wow the square button famicom is really rare. imagine how much that would cost 30 more years from now. awesome dude. by the way i bought a famicom yesterday for Php 100 (about $ 2.25 US) from one of the flea markets here in the philippines. though there are light scratches and minor discoloration, the console is still working perfectly fine. cheers to our dear old friend the famicom for a lot of fond childhood memories and blistered thumbs

  • @ghiielhan Hey! Thanks for the comment! I love the Famicom to bits! Am still loving it no matter what =) I favor it more than any current generation consoles.. I'm happy to hear that you've found yourself one too after these years! Hope you find some excitement and fun with it! Cheers~

  • @PhatPhunk I just missed it xD

  • don't know why but I got the exact same system but it was colored black

  • ah my childhood years

  • i was from nintendo?

    WOW

  • @jorasave Ermm? You are from Nintendo?

  • @PhatPhunk I miss a letter sorry I mean to write

It was from nintendo? the console I didn't know it. :)

  • can you do game play test?

  • I wish i had a famicom

  • @killdoser666 You will someday! :)

  • @PhatPhunk i hope i will

  • @killdoser666 they have famicoms on ebay for 50 dollers! its a great deal and theres tons of them to choose from, some old some new

  • Jesus man. That is a damned good quality collection.

  • @BuckskinGames Thanks man... I love the FC!! :D

  • How much did you pay for it complete?

  • @thegoon02 A typical boxed & complete FC would go for around USD70-80. I got mine off Yahoo Auctions Japan via Shopping Mall Japan, and it was a little cheaper than eBay. It cost me 1200 Yen (final auction price only w/o all the other misc fees calculated yet) for that boxed 1986 FC. The Square button FC was 'pieced' together from 3 different FC lot I got. So it was pretty pricey :P

  • @PhatPhunk Thanks that helped a lot I know of a store that has one for sale complete

  • love the music..these systems look cool

  • @crazyjimheath Thanks Jim!! Means alot getting a comment from you! :)

  • Those Famicoms look new and shiny.

  • @The8BitChampion Thanks man. Yeah I try to keep em clean. The original body of the Square button FC was very yellowed and I had no choice but to swap it out with a newer, white one. The pads and internal mobo however, was super clean!!

  • This video is just awesome!!! And inspireing!!

  • Thanks jillpoo3! That means alot especially coming from a kickass YouTube star like you!!!

  • Quite a lovely display there, and really atmospheric music too!

  • Thank you!! :D

  • metroid ftw

  • Love it!! The Metroid music is intense!! Did the square buttons come first??

  • Many thanks man!! Metroid music gives me goosebumps!! LOL.. Yeah, the square buttons came first back in 83!!! Famicom's first ever incarnation!! She's now my holy shrine..

  • i sadly have yet to get a famicom.... i want one so bad but its hard since i know what they cost in japan and the price id have to pay to get one to the states.... Great music man!

  • I'm sure you'll find one soon! Thanks for watching and commenting man. I'm still drooling over your latest family member :P

  • Awesome!

  • Thank you!

  • Those famicoms look in pristine condition, very jealous T_T

Never heard of a square button one before.

  • Thanks man! I was really lucky to find them in that condition. Square button FCs were the very first model that Nintendo made during launch in Japan back in 83. Because many didn't like the rubbery feel of the square button and the mobo were also buggy, Nintendo quickly revised the FC with hard rounded buttons and fixed the mobo issues. Square button FCs are really hard to come by these days especially, virgin, unaltered ones :)

  • Wicked PhatPhunk, you are the man owning a CIB square button Famicom!!!! I need to get one but they are becoming a very rare find. They both look MINT, I'm very impressed :).

Btw, Wicked choice of tunes :).

  • Thank you bro!! I really hope you get one soon!!
