Hello! I had a black brick followiong your tutorial video, i tried to hacked my wii 4.3E without game cube pad compatibility. It was everything ok till the last step....change the color of the menu, i released it, and the screem turned into black. I tried to recover the system with bootmii witch is in ios but i need a game cube pad to do the Konami in bootmii menu...and obviusly i dont have slot to plug in. Can you help me?? Tnkx!

Hi Sam, thanks for the tutorial! I've no problem with the softmod process, but i have some prob with the portable hdd part. I've formatted it to WBFS format, and tried to add ISOs in, but when i insert it to my Wii port 0 and i tried launching USB loader / wiiflow, only a black screen appeared. i'm using Western Digital 500gb HDD. and i tried it with another HDD from another wii that belongs to my sis, it does works so i'm guess that the problem is with the hdd and not the wii softmod process.

when you go to the thing for darkcrop the first option says Virgin Wii's (black Wii's)

Hey I have a question. It isn't clear to me why I need to have the SD card in the Wii for every game I play. As far as I understood the SD card is only used to install the homebrew and then I can play the games from the USB or external hard disk, right? Why then the SD card?

@marcsebastian95 If you are using a USB Loader, the applications like USB loaders is stored in the SD card, so you need the SD card with the hack pack in the Nintendo Wii for the USB Loader to work. If you are playing burnt discs, then you do not need the SD card in the wii.

Hey Sam, are the steps in these older vids the same as the new ones you just put up? I followed these 3 vids step by step(or so I thought) and everything worked great up until I connected the external for the games! I can see them on my comp. and the SD file in Wii options but freezes when I go in any of the USB reader channels,Then I did a factory reset and got rid of all the channels I got from you but still have a black screen 0.o Is there anything I can do to fix it or is my Wii now a brick?

can anyone help? i followed the tutorial precisely until the optional stuff ( didnt do that and didnt downgrade either) i have a black wii 4.3e but when i try to run a game with either CFG or usb loader gx it just goes to black screen when i load a game. It does regocnise the games on my 100gb hdd (ntfs formatted to wbfs). I dont know what is the problem here. any help would be appriciated.

@autoford117 i have the same problem with a few of the games i downloaded, where it recognizes the game on the usbloader but when i start it up i only geta black screen or a system restart. If u manage to find a solution, let me know...

hi, i've softmodded/hacked the wii as per the video. do you just leave the usb loader file on the root of your sd card if that's all you're going to use? also, as you are probably aware, do you have install updated wads etc in order to load games/iso's such as cod;black ops and mw3. how is this done? also, how do you istall channels on the hbc. many thanks. the vids are fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dude u rock i was looking for a new hack pack and yours seems to have everything, i was using an outdated one and it didn't completely finish my wii... and yes the HDD gots to be formatted to Fat32 dunno why but WFBS Manger dont like NTFS HDD i like using EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition its FREE and does the job very well all u do is select the HDD you want formatted, right click on it and click format, change it to FAT32 and hit APPLY and then format again through WBFS Manager.

But when I use my 4gb lexar it works.

What external hard drive brand do u suggest?

Does it's file have to be FAT32 cuz that's what's on my lexar

@castronii the file format should not matter because you change it to WBFS anyways. Ummm, HP portable hmmm... I am not sure. It sounds like the 500gb HP Portable external hard drive would work. What error comes up. Does not read? The types of external hard drives brands that I've tested are Toshiba Seagate Nexstar

@whiteknight838 Are the usb storage devices plugged into port 0. Also some hard drives don't work, but I don't know about the specifics to be truthful.

@alikac100 You use priiloader by holding reset and go into the multi manager and then you install system menu 4.1e and all should work perfectly.

@asilaydyingfrik 1) You can download both. However, follow a video solely on Region Free to learn more which is important.

2) Yes you take out the SD card when playing SSBB to work perfectly. You leave the SD card for other games. If you are using a USB Loader, you need to have the Sd card in the wii regardless of the game and then if you are playing SSBB after it loads, take out the SD card.
