I hope i don't come of as offensive but I've seen it where the fan leaves are yellow to yellow-green and usually that means that the plants has been properly flushed. Now, does that vary from strain to strain or do some strains stay green whether you flush your plants or not?

@MrDeathCab1 - it varies plant to plant i think.. i have a few in my current harvest that have yellowed, some went purple and the rest stayed green. I believe the myth is that they turn yellow but obviously not the case with mine.

How much of this hash would a small plant producing about 2 ounces of bud produce?

@MicroNuggets -varies on the thc content of the plant and how much resin it has.. typically a plant that size would probly only give u enough to load 1 bowl..

If you a producer by all means do this, if your a conniseur GET THOSE LEAVES OFF. They have extra clorophyl, while they do have some crystal so so so much is in the bud itself, plus you can still just hash the trim.

@k1l050 i take so many leaves off its ridiculous.. i have trim by the bundles to make kief, hash etc... if you notice these specific leaves on this plant, they are high in thc, so why not smoke it,,, if they werent covered in glands, id throw em in the trim pile.

@k1l050 - hashing the trim takes too much time and not worth the effort.. chlorophyll isnt at high levels unless u leave all the water leaves on.. if the leaf is covered in glands then i always leave them on..

Is it true by leaving some of the leaves on the bud while drying produces more crystals under the dried leaf? Would the bus smell like hay if that wer done? Or would the dry hay smell away?

@925salvador - yes u will end up with more crystals (thc), although leaf is just water, therefore the taste isnt the best. every strain is different in smell and taste, although i dont know if id smoke anything that smells like hay..

when u are scraping the scissors with the razor blade does it not scrape off fragments of metal into your hash pile?

@isaacjennai - no if you use the right scissors and make sure not to scrape the blades. use caution and you will have no issues :)

2 questions please answer, anyone.

when trimming does it harm the plant is you sniped off a few white hairs?

if you trim your bud (take off bud) and leave a little on the plant does it grow back?

@TucciVids - no it doesnt hurt the bud if you clip a few pistils off. sometimes depending on the strain i am growing, i prefer to cut the majority of hairs giving it a more dense compact look when the bud dries.

once you cut the buds, thats it for the life of the plant.

Now, if u accidentally cut some buds off during flowering, then the plant should continue to bloom. maybe have some growth shock issues, but should be ok.

@DMT - I compare the 2 ways every time i start a new strain as every strain is different. i seem to get fresher buds with much denser thc glands when i cut just about 5 days earlier than most. sometimes 2 weeks earlier depending on the strain

Most people I know let their sugar leaves turn yellow and wait for at least 20% amber before harvesting. I see you're harvesting a little sooner. Have you tried comparison tests?
