If you think the Dreadnought looks silly here, track down a non-2000 version of Tyrian. The two big multistage bosses in episode 4 were other enemies nailed together into one big mass that didn't even look like a ship.
I'm not fond of 2000. It changed stuff that was broken and added a non-fun episode. But I give it credit for that at least.
I never really figured the Ninja out. I think his initial cubes aren't given to you automatically, but the later ones are, so it can seem that you suddenly have a Ninja friend out of nowhere.
That three way blue ball firing thing, Something something Tangerine? Pretty good actually, also considering the balls seek out targets, pretty accurately I might say.
'twas I who suggested the Soul of Zinglon created Ale pickups from enemies. I've had it happen numerous times, but only in Arcade mode. I've never gotten the Soul powerup in the campaign, so I have no idea whether or not the effect carries over.
Of course, it's also possible that it was coincidence, and there are simply enemies that drop Ale somewhere in arcade mode. /shrug
How many minutes/hours of text ,would you say, are in this game, if somebody collected an average amount of Data Cubes, and decided to read every single one?

It wouldn't be the wobbley, would it? I love the wobbley more than the flamethrowers, but I've only found it on the extra levels on mission 3 on hard mode... -_-
My favorite combination is the carrot ship and the banana guns.

Savara is just insane. Same missiles getting fired out of nowhere, same music, same planet, but different enemies and backgrounds.

there is a spaceship that can shoot ninja stars. it is the super arcade mode ship activated by typing stealth in at the menu.
