@stovis - I'd actually advise you to get paid per lead and avoid any "percent of sales" arrangements. Those get too sticky and difficult to track for most clients. Businesses are very use to paying per lead for quality leads.
I have used this strategy for months to generate traffic to my UltimateSoftwareBundle product. My classified ad has 600+ views. This is much cheaper traffic that Google AdWords.
@brittlesnc21 It converts okay. This isn't my best converting product but I think that is the nature of this particular product itself. If you have a good converting product this may work even better for you.
@cbridegum hey thanks for the quick response. i'm promoting a local service. i'm going to try to rank the ad in Google for a local keyword phrase. i don't have much to lose...$10 for the ad and about another $10 in SEO costs.
I wonder how ebay classified ads convert? It's great that it gets alot of views but what about conversions?

Getting your own toll free number that forwards to a company would let you track the calls, but how would you track the sales from your efforts?

@myfreementor - use the category listings in the upper left hand side of the results page to dive into other categories.

@brittlesnc21 it is worth a shot. It is much cheaper than PPC traffic in most cases. Good luck!
