@StinkyGreenBud You don't have to do it press the arrows diagonally. Say Fire Dance for example is left, down left, down, down right, right correct? To enter it correctly press left, left, down, down, right. It's weird but it'll work. All diagonal buttons can be pressed in the direction its pointing in or down or up.

Yeah, I did this too. Except that I used Edgar, and instead of using the Illumina and the Atma weapon (which is what I think you have--it's been awhile). I actually had TWO Atma weapons (I stole another one off the second-to-last boss). Since it's damage is based on HP and level, and Edgar was at 9999 HP and LV 99, I did 9999 damages with each hit for a total of 79992. Kefka never stood a chance. I love this game.
FF13 is the only game that did the final boss right, they actually forced Orphan to be at least somewhat of a challenge by imposing a cap on the crystarium until after you beat him for the first time, it's just too tempting to get over-leveled on all the other games.
@holypie987 There's nothing wrong with that game it's amazing just like every other Final Fantasy, you can't just say it's bad and give no reason why, I'm sure you're just like everyone else who hates it for the sake of it being different when in actuality it has probably the most complex and intuitive battle system, an awesome story and tons of sidequests to provide for hours of post-story enjoyment.
@holypie987 The story is a matter of opinion, you can choose whichever character you want to control once your whole party is together, and the game is not linear, everyone says that but it's just not true once you get to gran pulse there's tons of stuff you can do, in fact FF12 is probably the only FF that has more sidequests than 13, in fact in the guide the sidequest section is longer than the walkthrough.
@holypie987 I'm not saying 13 is the best I think 7 is the best, but I love all of them, I just like they way they imposed a level cap on 13 that way you had to beat the final boss at least once before you could get overleveled and obliterate him like you can on pretty much every other FF.

Kefka from Final Fantasy 6 has to be the best boss ever. First villain in a video game to actually succeed at his master plan. He became a God, created a floating island and castle out of random materials, then started burning towns to the ground with his "Ray of Hope". Once the heroes showed up to fight him and started their epic speeches, he tells them they sound like a self-help booklet. Best. Boss. Ever.
It's pretty ironic how Locke in the beginning of the game doesn't contribute crap to serious battles, except occasionally Stealing and stuff - and still in the end of the game he becomes a smurfing powerhouse.

Can I say something? Final Fantasy VI is one of the best games EVER MADE, but Kefka is a little bit of a disappointing antagonist imo. I kinda felt sorry for him throughout the game. He was just a loon; too fracked up in the head to even know right from wrong. Plus, why did Gestahl keep him around considering how unstable he was?

High Level + Genji Gloves + Offering/Master Scroll = 8 hits at over 9k each. Kefka's highest HP in any version is 62k. 9000(8) = 72,000

The problem is that devs put too much cheated equips/relics allowing you to overpower up your chars in no time and beyond what is acceptable. And overall, this game has huge balancing issues anyway.

@ChrisTheBest1992 Beginning at the game where you have Terra, Edgar, Sabin and Locke going into the Returner's Hideout. Once Banon has his little speech about the War of the Magi and you have control of Terra only - Talk to Banon. DO NOT AGREE to join the fight with the returners and it will take you back inside the hideout. Go to the back room, speak to the solider and he will give you a Genji Glove. Banon however will not give you the Gaunlet (sp?) however.
@ChrisTheBest1992 Yeah, don't agree to join and get it from one of the soldiers.... Thats how to get it earliest in the game. For more of them, when you get to the floating continent, you can steal however many you'd like to have from an enemy there... I think its some sort of Ninja, but just try stealing from random guys until you find out which one has them. You should never need more than 8 of them since parties are only made of 4 people, and you splint into 2 groups of 4 only a few times...

Sephiroth absorbed energy and tried to become a God yes. But it only took the typical 7 people to best him. Kefka required a team of 12, and was shown to have more than enough Godly power to destroy the entire world. Not to mention he lacked the character flaws Sephiroth had. He was only a clown in appearance. In action, he was the cruelest damn villain in the series yet. Sephiroth...he never did anything that particularly impressed me.
1) Sephiroth tried to create a new planet completely controlled by himself by using that planets energy, so he wasn't just a mindless destroying machine.
2) Sephiroth is... cool. Kefka isn't.
3) are you sure you played FF7? if you did, you'd understand why Sephiroth fans are more than kefka fans.

@Lelouchthesilentone I regard Final Fantasy VII as not only a great Final Fantasy, but a great RPG. Possibly one of my favorites, even. That opinion has little to do with Sephiroth though, as honestly, I didn't really find him -that- cool of a villain. The game itself simply had a lot going for it across the board, in particular with it's soundtrack. Both the pacing of the story and the design of the characters very much appealed to me overall, though.
@Lelouchthesilentone At the same time, though, I don't have much right to compare it to other Final Fantasy games. I never completed any of the earlier ones, because frankly, I couldn't stand the way they looked. I really hate the way they handled sprites in the old Final Fantasy games, what with the tiny block characters and massive, well designed enemies (exactly like what's in this video). Not to say I don't like sprites in general, as I loved Breath of Fire II-IV.
@Lelouchthesilentone Comparatively, it's not "many" people that consider it the worst FF around. It's actually a minority of FF fans that do. From most game review companies, FFVII is considered the second best. Most FF fans consider FFVII to be the second best game. I personally find it the second best with VI coming in first. I love Kefka, but one of the main reasons that people don't consider him "that big a deal" is because the poor way VI gave no real depth to his character.
@Lelouchthesilentone Again, I love Kefka and have him above Seph in my villain pool, but a one dimensional character is not going to jump to the top of most people's charts. You can complain about "sympathetic bullshit" but that's how multi-dimensional characters are born in all media. Since I played FFVI on the SNES, I wanted to play a game about Kefka's back story and still think it'd be a pretty awesome addition to the series. Either way, I've not ever heard anyone say ffvii was the worst. :S
@Lelouchthesilentone Sorry to blow up these comments, but I say Mystic quest would be on most people's lists at the very bottom. When I played that as a kid, I threw it away after I beat it. In a lot of people's opinion (not all) 12 and 13 are also toward the bottom because of their deviation in style and slack in story/ gameplay comparatively. In some opinions, X-2 was one of the worst things added as well, slapping VI and VII fans in the face by not giving a sequel to them instead.

Again, a one hit kill can be done with the life 3 spell. Or one of the life spells. someone confirm this with a video and there it will be the true ONE spell kill.

I like how everyone keeps repeating, "That's one command, not one hit." Well no shit? Unless you edit the damage code to allow damage bypass, which only goes up to 65,535, then you can't do it, and if he had, then you'd all be calling him a cheater. x.x The internet is a terrible place. :(
To anyone who says it's a "hack", I think you should re-play the game.
High Level + Genji Gloves + Offering/Master Scroll = 8 hits at over 9k each. Kefka's highest HP in any version is 62k. 9000(8) = 72,000

The problem is that devs put too much cheated equips/relics allowing you to overpower up your chars in no time and beyond what is acceptable. And overall, this game has huge balancing issues anyway.

@ChrisTheBest1992 Beginning at the game where you have Terra, Edgar, Sabin and Locke going into the Returner's Hideout. Once Banon has his little speech about the War of the Magi and you have control of Terra only - Talk to Banon. DO NOT AGREE to join the fight with the returners and it will take you back inside the hideout. Go to the back room, speak to the solider and he will give you a Genji Glove. Banon however will not give you the Gaunlet (sp?) however.

@ChrisTheBest1992 Yeah, don't agree to join and get it from one of the soldiers.... Thats how to get it earliest in the game. For more of them, when you get to the floating continent, you can steal however many you'd like to have from an enemy there... I think its some sort of Ninja, but just try stealing from random guys until you find out which one has them. You should never need more than 8 of them since parties are only made of 4 people, and you splint into 2 groups of 4 only a few times...

Sephiroth absorbed energy and tried to become a God yes. But it only took the typical 7 people to best him. Kefka required a team of 12, and was shown to have more than enough Godly power to destroy the entire world. Not to mention he lacked the character flaws Sephiroth had. He was only a clown in appearance. In action, he was the cruelest damn villain in the series yet. Sephiroth...he never did anything that particularly impressed me.

I've played every single FF except for II. FF VII was...okay really. And that's being generous. Many people call it one of the worst FF's out there. Make it work before you make it pretty. And if you claim FF VIII,FF IX,FF X,FF X-2 sucks then I need what your smoking because those games are what final fantasy is about and are actually playable. I played all those games multiple times and never get sick of them. I couldn't even get halfway through 13 before getting bored

@Lelouchthesilentone I regard Final Fantasy VII as not only a great Final Fantasy, but a great RPG. Possibly one of my favorites, even. That opinion has little to do with Sephiroth though, as honestly, I didn't really find him -that- cool of a villain. The game itself simply had a lot going for it across the board, in particular with it's soundtrack. Both the pacing of the story and the design of the characters very much appealed to me overall, though.

I never completed any of the earlier ones, because frankly, I couldn't stand the way they looked. I really hate the way they handled sprites in the old Final Fantasy games, what with the tiny block characters and massive, well designed enemies (exactly like what's in this video). Not to say I don't like sprites in general, as I loved Breath of Fire II-IV.

@Lelouchthesilentone Comparatively, it's not "many" people that consider it the worst FF around. It's actually a minority of FF fans that do. From most game review companies, FFVII is considered the second best. Most FF fans consider FFVII to be the second best game. I personally find it the second best with VI coming in first. I love Kefka, but one of the main reasons that people don't consider him "that big a deal" is because the poor way VI gave no real depth to his character.

You can complain about "sympathetic bullshit" but that's how multi-dimensional characters are born in all media. Since I played FFVI on the SNES, I wanted to play a game about Kefka's back story and still think it'd be a pretty awesome addition to the series. Either way, I've not ever heard anyone say ffvii was the worst. :S

@Lelouchthesilentone Sorry to blow up these comments, but I say Mystic quest would be on most people's lists at the very bottom. When I played that as a kid, I threw it away after I beat it. In a lot of people's opinion (not all) 12 and 13 are also toward the bottom because of their deviation in style and slack in story/ gameplay comparatively. In some opinions, X-2 was one of the worst things added as well, slapping VI and VII fans in the face by not giving a sequel to them instead.
