Wouldn't be that big of a deal if the new fx line simply replaced the phenom and where along the same price point. But I'm not going to pay for something that cost more and does less... AMD you have to match at least the 2500k from intel and make it cost as much as the 1100T then you might have a product.

@Lricardogame Intel invests about half in manufacturing research, and other 2 (of the 3 rest ) Bi into hundreds of diferent researches all over the planet (like ssd, raytracing, health care systems) supports lofts of universities with this money. The CPU Design team does NOT have 6x AMDs Money of course. They are not even though, but your numbers paint a very false image.

You could also check out intels and amds exact quaterly reports on results, to see the exact numbers.

- Weaker IPC than Phenom II

- Poor single-threaded performance, even though Bulldozer have higher Turbo clock.

Actually, it perform worse in multi-threaded applications which is one of the strong points of Bulldozer.

In single-thread Bulldozer is very slow.

@maroom1 According to the Benchmarks the only test that it really hands down beat the i7-2600k was in a Mainconcept test according to MaxPC. And in multithreaded applications it is about on par with the i7-2600k. and in single threaded its worse than the i7-2600k.

@Antykain The new highly anticipated AMD Bulldozer processor failed epicly on delivering any good performance, the Phenom II processors are performing better, so its one step forward and two steps back! ;)

However I am basing my 'facts' on benchmarks which may come from unreliable sources, so nothing is really *official* until we see benchmarks from highly trusted hardware sites.

@nortechguy What kind of statement is that? The Sandy bridges also had an issue with the Sata2 controllers at launch...does that mean they sucked at launch? My point is, when you come with something new. You'll never now it's going to work 100% correctly. AMD is planning to improve performance of the bulldozer architecture over time. (And I don't think our software is optimized for bulldozer...yet) So have some patience, it takes time. Don't forget, AMD doesn't have the same budget as Intel has.

I am not saying I can say for certain that this isn't fake or anything, but I think the source is quite credible given the guy who tested it just very recently won the MoA 2011 overclocking competition and many people who have gotten hold of the AMD CPU through NDA are also showing signs of disappointment (viewing the AMD thread "bulldozer rumors" at overclockersDOTcom)
