Dont ground the mezzos girl! you really did very well, and plus, cecilia bartolli is "only a mezzo" yet she's one of the best opera singers alive(not to mention she can hit the Major F of the aria of the queen of the night.) And I'm a soprano, I think u did it way way better than me, because I have so much issues with the low notes, and u seem to deal with them very well!!! =D

when i was younger, i sang first sop . . . but that was children's choir, so we were all really sops, and the highs were only g's. but yeah, for the majority of my post pubescent life, i've sung alto. sometimes i'm lucky enough to sing second sop and it makes me very happy.

I totally want to sing the Phantom's part with you... There's just one problem.

When I record it adds a lot of hiss... Not sure if it's my mic, my program, or my soundcard. What all do you use? Yours sounds very clear and well recorded.

usually i use a blue snowball mic. it's really nice, but i only suggest investing in one if you plan to do this kinda stuff a lot. for this song, however, my cuz had it and i sang on a headset mic (vxi). i angle the mic at my forehead to avoid pops. i record into garage band, but you can use acid or whatev. i think the best thing is to get a decent mic. message me if you have more questions!

good ear, it was early. the karaoke i had did not have the final chord and the scream sounded funny acapella, so i cut out one of the high c's and just skipped to the scream for the last note.

well, at least the aaaas with the turns sound like poo. :( i can pull off "scream-singing" that's straight toned, but apparently i can't add vibrato to it or gracefully change notes in that register.
