my opinion is that you should keep going with MLG. The main difference between MLG and open gameplay is that this really tests you skills against people who have to prove themselves every once and a while. Ya fair enough there are people with ego's and can be absolute assholes but they are the people who take the fun out of the game and can't cope with a bad K/D. Thats why MLG needs people like you PWN because you bring fun to the game and do not have an ego.
I think it's the best thing out there. Once I found out about the competitive playlist I fell in love with only that part of black ops. it's the only thing I play because I love the competition.
competitive scrims and matches are MUCH more fun to watch than pub stomping, but pub stomping is much funner to participate in if you have a very good team. but then again competitive can be fun if you have a good team as well, but you cannot turn competitive into pub stomping, if you catch my drift
OBVIOUSLY the competitive gamers are going to use the good guns, they play to win and dont care if you think they sucks because they arent using the F2000

I have stated before that I understand that they are going to use the "good guns", in addition I have never once asked that they listen to me and pick up an F2000. In addition, I think that they are not skilled because they can't compete with any gun other than an "overpowered" weapon, like the Famas.
btw, the F2000 is not a bad gun, it just takes a certain understanding of how to use it.
I dislike pretty much anyone i've met who does MLG mainly because every one of them uses the most overpowered weapons and tactics(MP40,UMP,Famas, 74u, dropshotting etc...). To me, someone is only good at the game if they can use pretty much any gun, any perk, and are able to get a fair ammount of kills without spawn trapping or using super powerful killstreaks that get you absurd ammount of kills. That is my opinion on MLG...

@nocturnal240 I don't do MLG, but I do competitive gaming. Here's the thing, the goal is to win. If there is any headglitching spot, glitch, nade spot, cheap gun, OP perk, then it is essentially gonna help you win. It will make the job easier. If you were to tell me to use a Mac11 in a comp. game, I'd just laugh at you. If it's a public match, sure, it's understandable, but when you are playing against people who are better than you or equal, you have to use whatever gives you an advantage.

Problem that MLG has had and will continue to happen is that the community for XYZ Game are too fucking fickle. It ends up being either Halo Reach (around) or CounterStrike because people are obsessed with those pieces of shit games.
The COD community has to push for MLG so sponsors will put time and money into setting up events. Otherwise it'll go by the wayside. I've seen it done with Battlefield:2 way back in the day.
You can't be a try hard Rambo if your doing competitive. PUG Stomping isn't MLG. Have to have a completely different style of gameplay and communicate. I personally love competitive gameplay though - and yea you'll see a bunch of drama. But - who gives a shit - I only want to see good game play. If you do MLG pwn - just stay out of the drama - focus on the game and rape em'.

Good competitive players are leagues better than commentators. Pub stomping is easy, thats why a lot of people resort to sniping. If i go into a pub game with a full party we can demolish any randoms cause there are very few people that are good at pub matches because when people get too good for them they just go to competitive and do scrims. Competitive sniping should get more recognition because quick scoping is probably the hardest thing in the game to do well.

the competitive scene is taken so frickin seriously. i think im a good enough player to be able to learn how to compete with higher level players that do the gb and mlg but when i tried for a bit the seriousness just made it not fun. If you waited in a corner and shot the flag carrier in the back then you get massive spam that ur a shit player and death threats and shit when you win. i play games for fun and some (mostly teenage immature shits) take the game way to seriously for it to be fun

@VaalDjango I'm still in school at the moment. I make money from cleaning pools, mowing lawns, babysitting, stuff like that. I plan to go into game MAKING however, but certainly not professionally playing games. That requires no intelligence and no skill. Only a fuck ton of time. I'm getting a real job.

@BertoBeats I don't agree. It's not only investing time.It involves a lot of quick intelligent decision making and skill is also very important. But you also need to be a very good team player.
I also like the idea that you can make your hobby a real profession. Just like good athletes, or musicians or even Youtube vid makers, that they can make it a profession is something I really like in life and it's entertaining to watch or learn from them. IMO it's a real job.

Good competitive players are leagues better than commentators. Pub stomping is easy, thats why a lot of people resort to sniping. If i go into a pub game with a full party we can demolish any randoms cause there are very few people that are good at pub matches because when people get too good for them they just go to competitive and do scrims. Competitive sniping should get more recognition because quick scoping is probably the hardest thing in the game to do well.

the competitive scene is taken so frickin seriously. i think im a good enough player to be able to learn how to compete with higher level players that do the gb and mlg but when i tried for a bit the seriousness just made it not fun. If you waited in a corner and shot the flag carrier in the back then you get massive spam that ur a shit player and death threats and shit when you win. i play games for fun and some (mostly teenage immature shits) take the game way to seriously for it to be fun

Gaming in general for me is a lifestyle. If I get my shit pushed in, sure I'll rage but in the end it just means that I played like shit. There are times when I do the shit pushing myself and its great. But these MLG pros are a different thing. I mean if they lose, they're ready to jump off a cliff and send you 900 death threats a day for a year. A lot of them don't know how to lose for some reason. Fuck the drama, just have some fun dammit.

im not really sure about competitive. i always just play public solo or with my friends and we normally tear shit up ya know what i mean. but if we get paired up with good players then we go try hard to win (well i do coz id rather win going negative than lose and have a 3 kd) but the idea of 2 actual teams playing competitvely just seems abit strange as in it takes some of the fun out of it. like it makes it all serious and what not. anyway, nice vids. i'll keep watchin whatever you put up :)
