Great celtic, great suns and great player.Too bad today Phoenix is not even the shadow that used to be with Majerle,Ainge and Kj,Westphal as coach.Stoudamire and Nash, are alone,i consider them the next Malone-Stockton alike, but today from Phoenix Suns to Phoenix Sucks!!
yeah, Westphal was one of the most 'unlikely' looking guys, wasn't he? That's not to say that he wasn't good! Westphal and The Iceman were mainstays from the Western Conference All-Stars, for a 'few' years! Check the record.
i guess westphal was pretty much a stud back then. the suns have only been to finals with him as a player or as a head coach. they should have figured that out before they fired him back in the '90's.
Hey JoeyJohan what year was this? Westphaul was my favorite player when he played for the Suns back in the 70's. I remember this HORSE competition but not exactly when. Thanks.
@eewright2001 i believe it was during the 1977-78 season. exciting to watch true talent. there weren't too many dunks. the perimeter shooting was nice to watch.
it was at the omni in atlanta

Westphal should be played by Judge Reinhold in a biography of his life.

Westphal looks like a rec league player. Never would guess he was an all-star by looking at him.

He was a Dwyane Wade-level scorer back in the day.
Fun player to watch.
